A question about elemental curses

I jus say molecules around the area take the form or some shit

no one needs to dumbass, but i digress

  1. it’s drawing similarities between the two, not saying they’re the same thing

  2. vetex literally said that curse users get weak / explode in sea water due to its magic energy, and while this isn’t shown in game he did say it so we have to speculate around it

For someone talking about others being ignorant, he sure is avoiding all logic like it’s the plague…

Vetex described it as that Curse-users when coming in-contact with the irradiated sea are met with opposing/foreign energy, but the Curse, even if submerged would always just leave the body and never disappear because they’re the pure magic made by the gods.

Tldr: Both are opposing in energy, but they’re not weak enough to broken by the other, just have the reaction of popping out the human involved

potassium

no need to be a conceited fool.

1: the whole purpose of the analogy was to illustrate a real-world example which does not apply.
2: death of the author fallacy

ironic when you don’t even know on what ground youre standing

you sound like u smell ur own farts

did someone call me

I know exactly what ground I’m standing on, I have shown you all the evidence said by Vetex himself, who made the AO universe, and I have also mentioned many things that clash with either the official lore or what Vetex said
Or are you smarter than Vetex and know more about his universe than Vetex himself?

This fallacy isn’t like the strawman fallacy or others like it where the fallaciousness is clear and agreed upon. Its fairly critiqued as a concept, so its not like its a universally accepted idea either. You can argue that the player’s interpretation is more important than Vetex’s and maybe convince some people, but just saying “death of the author fallacy” is completely invalid, you need to at least try to back it up. Especially here where clearly most people don’t subscribe to that belief.

non sequitor question, as i said, you dont even know what youre standing on because you basically said this.
“i showed you all the evidence to a claim made by the dev, but i also showed you many inconsistencies with this claim”
youre on my side but then youre also on his side, realize that he is consistently wrong about the whole “energies clashing” bullshit. all because he wants to make curses like devil fruits in one piece.

i agree with most of what you said, save for the part where you said “people dont subscribe to that belief” since logically speaking an inconsistent statement from an author means nothing to the story itself if it doesnt connect, but as for the real substance of your message; i did back it up, i just got sick of replying to that fool so i said “death of the author fallacy”. i dont blame you for not knowing since that was a couple replies ago, and not everybody has the time to read some forums for a game which dont even get read by the dev of that game

Can you link to it, cause I can’t find where you backed it up

he ain’t blowing up because it’s an EXTENSION, those things don’t belong to your real body

in order for him to actually feel the effects of the wood being damaged, it has to be made from something on his preexisting body like a strand of hair for example

i’d honestly say that even if this theory is true, wotan wouldn’t take the risk and the most he’d do is enhance the ships with his curse to make them stronger, not make actual ships with curse wood

I’m not on either side, I’m on a side that wants for Vetex to have at least some foresight to stuff in his lore that may not add up, and provide the fanbase with answers on time. That’s the main issue, we have a evidence pointing to both directions, but none of it makes sense.
I provided you with examples found in the game that we know are canon lore, but also stuff mentioned by the dev that also must be canon.

closing this thread but i digress
