A Survey For A New Game Series I Have

Introduction

About two years ago, I had a game series that was posted here in the forums for people to answer and win a huge amount of galleon/drachma. It of course ended along with my motivation to play arcane odyssey at the time but I recently got back to the game a few months ago and with it, an idea for another game series.

Not sure if I should put it here or off-topic but since the game series is still related to the game then I thought why not put it here. Feel free to change the category as you see fit.

Concept Title: Arcane Trails

  • The Concept
    – To make it easier to understand, think of it as GeoGuessr except you have to actually go to the location itself. For example, I show a picture of where I was then you’ll need to go to that place and recreate the same angle of the picture. You don’t need to copy what I was doing but only the same angle of the picture in order for your answer to be considered as correct.

  • The Rules
    – Find the same place where the picture of the entry was taken.
    – Recreate the angle shot of the picture, it doesn’t need to be absolutely perfect.
    – First one to closely recreate the angle shot of the picture will be considered the winner.

Ending Statement & Survey

Pretty much I just wanted to have another way to have fun in the forums that also involves the game as well just like in the previous series that I’ve made. With that in mind, this is the part where the survey comes in. If you also have suggestions for what I could change or add into the concept I had, feel free to type it in the replies!

I would only include places in the war seas since there isn’t really any island that’s the same as where I took the picture, rest assured the dark sea won’t be in any entry.

Sounds a lot like wins will be first-come first-served given how small the map is, unless it’s something cryptic like the last game you had made under another alias.

I prefer something like treasure chart clue. Just please make it clear but still a good hint.

It won’t be cryptic like the last part of my previous series, the picture of the entry will be taken in the actual place in the game itself.

The goal is pretty much whoever can come to that place first with a similar angle of the shot would be the winner (It’s made like this so that you cant just save up a ton of pictures of a lot of places ingame).

Would probably invite a lot of issues if I make it like that to be honest, someone could pretty much just save up pictures and name them according to the surroundings, such as “Snow-TwoTrees-OneRock” :sob: .

Jokes aside, I think it’d be kinda funny if ya did one Dark Sea location at the very beginning and leave it there for anyone who wants to challenge themselves to recreate it, could be kinda a fun thing to have idk
