Why don’t they just make WoM it’s own game? I mean Roblox could be deleted any second and all this would be gone. Tbh it’s still nice that it’s free.

this been brought up a couple of times but the jist of it:
it’d be a long time for vetex to learn a new coding language and engine just to port it off roblox and correct it would gone if that was the case but extremely unlikely seeing how roblox is.
but instead of taking another 6 months for tgr it likely would be years till he’s able to get Ao on another engine, not to mention the popularity of the game wouldn’t likely take off like it does on roblox.

Sorry for ruining the 666 replies. Although the “learning a new language” aspect is a factor, the main reason is that Roblox is the easiest engine for a solo developer. This is mainly because of the platform. On steam, a solo developer’s first game (which would take many years to create) is probably going to get very few sales. Plus, people are more willing to spend money on in-app purchases in a Roblox game than a steam game. He likely wouldn’t make any money from in-app purchases and would have to sell the game for money. This would lower the sales even more. All in all, Roblox is just an easier platform for solo developers to make money.
why in all hell would a multi-billionaire company suddenly just stop? this isn’t disney where they discontinue games, cause unlike disney, ROBLOX is a company based ENTIRELY around the game platform.

Well, theres alot of downsides to this;
- Learning a new coding language
- Not being able to use roblox’s catalog assets
- It won’t really have the same feel as it’d probably look way better
- All of us here just like roblox and it’s convenient.
