This one’s more a proof of concept, but I figured:
”Hey, the navy.. HAS a courtroom.. why isn’t it used?”
So uh, instead of getting instantly sent to jail or executed, you’re sent to court first.
How this would work in terms of like, attorneys? no clue, maybe you could hire people, or positive rep players could be your prosecution and attorney.
You CAN escape, but attempting to escape the courtroom makes you fight two high level navy NPCS and a few filler, if you escape? cool, but next time you’re caught or hunted, you’re IMMEDIATELY sentenced to execution until a few days of real life time pass. (maybe like.. two? three?)
Again, this entire thing’s a proof of concept. and probably wouldn’t work in the slightest. I’d just think that with the fleet commands system opening the gate for chat based stuff, we could have full on ace attorney sessions instead of just “Damn it, now I need to wait two minutes, and then either get camped, left to get stabbed, or released with basically no other problems.”
I don’t think you could just escape because they have anti-magic cuffs that nullify most abilities. Closest you can get is being put in prison, and if you’re so extremely known for crimes against humanity, they might not have time to put you through the court ringer, as you’re so extreme and probably got broken out a few times to the point you NEED to be executed.
Though, how would you say the whole court system would work? Something to lower or increase (to execution) the amount of time you spend inside, based on good and bad arguments?
It should be as boring as a regular court is, though, just to really drive it in, until someone breaks you out of court, too.
Is it ever explained fully WHAT they are? like, material or how they work?
Because it’s just sort of shown as “cuffs with the letter F on them that so happen to make you powerless”
Though yeah maybe good and bad arguments would be what increase or decrease time, unsure
I’m not personally sure if it’s fully explained how the cuffs work, but it could be similar to those curse eating blades. Where, say, it pulls magic energy out of you and weakens your (minimal) connection, neutralizing whatever skills you may have had.
It could also be made with lead, or other very heavy materials, to slow you down to a walk.
