Anyone got pc ideas?

I want to get a $800 gaming pc any ideas?

dunno. depends on if you are willing to build it yourself or not

I’m willing to build it

Good you can get more bang for your buck that way

If anyone has ideas put a link to the PC parts or, a link the prebuilt PC.

Making a pcpartpicker for you but ima give you two options since your motherboard can support it.
SSD Storage:
2x https://pcpartpicker.com/product/3dvdnQ/western-digital-blue-sn570-1-tb-m2-2280-nvme-solid-state-drive-wds100t3b0c
No cache means once they start to fill up they may start to slow down, but you end up with 2 terabytes of SSD storage normally (just keep around maybe 60-70% filled at max for both).
or
1x https://pcpartpicker.com/product/Zxw7YJ/samsung-970-evo-plus-1-tb-m2-2280-nvme-solid-state-drive-mz-v7s1t0bam
Has cache so the filling up side is less of an issue, although I’ll look into the newer one that uses your CPUs cache (one I have myself). Gotta find out which one it is exactly though and compare the price (probably shouldn’t get 2 of it anyways, so maybe that and the WD blue ssd together depending on the price and remaining budget).

Also give me the kind of things you’ll be using the computer for.

On getting closer to the final pcpartpicker it might not be possible to squeeze in the 2 SSD option or the samsung one unless the budget was a bit higher or if the products were bought during a sale (which I would recommend if you want to get a budget PC).

I also forgot to post this earlier
I have two options:
Option 1 - Sacrifice the GPU and use an iGPU for now (wait to get a 6600xt which would require you save around 250 USD more)
Note: This has a larger PSU to compensate for future upgrades (I’ve use the case before, dimensions shouldn’t be an issue since it can house a 3090 iirc). iGPU could also work as a backup for the scenario in which your GPU fails.

Option 2 - Sacrifice the CPU and opt to get a GPU
Note: A GPU will always typically be better than an iGPU, but this means you won’t be as future proofed for the time being. Could cost you more later, but this should give you what you want right now.

For reference:
In videocardbenchmark’s testing of which I have no idea how credible they are. The iGPU is around 3x worse than the GPU picked out, and ~5x worse than the 6600xt I mentioned. Furthermore, it should be easier to overclock or boost the clocks on your GPU than your iGPU if temps are/become a concern.

I recommend doing some personal research to get a bit more of an idea. The lists should give you an idea if you decide to make your own.

you want me to like get you a list of parts…?

Ya I do

person above me already did

I also gave two options without taking into account potential discounts that could appear. If you want to also factor that in for your future purchases then by all means go ahead and adjust your list accordingly. Typically the discounts can range from 5% to 15%, some could be higher but that’s unlikely to happen for newer products.

dont get an igpu it’s so bad please :sob:

The iGPU idea is temporary for the author of the topic to save up for a better GPU. The PSU is there, and they can probably even squeeze it in if they went with the list during a sale. If I was cruel I’d have them struggle with an Intel iGPU :skull:

the cruelest fate

This is great :+1: thank you for the list. I am also doing some research.
