Yin
Yin was given the honor to hold the title “Quae Contraria” which is roughly translated to “the one who counters”. In short she is a hard counter to the player. Depending on the players preference, she can counter one of 2 ways.

She chooses a magic / fighting style / weapon that directly counters what they player is using based on stats, clash rates, etc. By using the Lost Fighting style of Mimicry both the magic and fighting style can be copied to a degree. Status effect are applied to the attack by contraptions on the hands and the legs. This information is gathered by “sensing” the player, touching them or using magic sensing works.

Build Counter - Same concept but the build is changed to give the player a challenge.
Level - 2x greater than the players
Health - 2x greater than the players
Yang
Yang was given the honor to hold the title “Quod Aequalis” which is roughly translated to " one who is equal." He matches the player in everything: stats, build, equipment, weapon, etc. Yang helps the player see their own weaknesses in a fight.
Level - 2x greater than the players

Okay listen, this is actually a really good suggestion but for the love of god i don’t want people fucking making jojo cosplay builds in AO and having the discord be spammed with jojo memes. Literally anything but that

We’re gonna have so many anime cosplayers day 1 or 2 anyway, I don’t think having some jojo mfs come in is much worse than whatever other anime people join
I feel like a technology magic should or could exist, but it should not be based on modern technology, and maybe more basic stuff, still resembling electricity, but, like not super cyber and scifi for a pirate based game like this.
technology is a very broad term to basically describe how humans or animals use knowledge to achieve a goal through repeatable and feasible means, normally through tools and machinery, such as how a chimp uses a stick to eat termites, or a human builds a caravel to sail the warseas, so maybe from that perspective, technology magic can be kinda like some kind of magic that uses an energy that “builds” energy based boat parts or other devices to attack? basically a creation magic that opposes apocalypse bringer.
