Slithering slash
Medusa prepares her blade. After around a second or two of charging, she will do a flying dash towards the player, when reaching the vicinity of the player she will then horizontally slash her sword in an attempt to damage the player. Getting hit has a 20% chance to poison and deals 115 damage.
Toxic Bites
Medusa uses an explosion poison spell. These explosions are randomly placed and she summons about 15. The only indicator is the magic circle appearing for around 2 seconds. Each hit deals 60 damage and has a 5% chance to inflict poison
Cobra’s fang
When near the player, medusa will attempt to do many jabs similarly to a rapier. Each hit deals little damage, but the damage canup really quickly. Inflicts haveed and has a small chance to inflict poison
Fatal Mirage
Medusa fires a single poison beam at the player. upon the beam landing anywhere, medusa will dash towards the beam’s ending position, slash around themselves in a circle, dash towards the player, then use Cobra’s Fang. The slash deals 95 damage.
Phase Two
At around 40% of her HP, Medusa is enraged and reveals her true power. All status effects she deals will be replaced with petrified, where the user cannot move for 2 seconds (cannot stack), on top of this, she gains some new moves and all her attacks come out 50% quicker. As a visual, she gives some dialogue and removes her helmet and reveals that her hair is infested with snakes
Medusa’s Glare
Medusa attempts to look at the player. Anything facing her will take 40 damage and will become petrified for 3 seconds. This is indicated by her eyes having a green glare 3 seconds before the attack.
Venom Surge
An amplified version of Toxic Bites. More explosions, less time to react. On top of that, medusa will ALWAYS perform a random attack exactly 1 second after that
Finishing Blow
Medusa will rush towards the player an attempt to skewer them. If successful, medusa will use a much more intense version of cobra’s fang and finish it off with a blast.

Spawn
Medusa spawns on Cave Island. Cave island is an island dedicated to being an arena for medusa. The outside consists of a thin shore leading up to the large cave inside. The arena is a large, circular, flat area surrounded by statues of random scattered about and a hut (after defeating medusa, the hut will spawn 9-13 random chests)
The incentive (besides her drops) to defeat medusa is a side quest where an NPC in Redwake asks for the assistance of the player to avenge their father, a bounty hunter turned into a statue by the infamous cursed witch, Medusa. The player can take this quest starting at level 50.
As a reward for completing the quest, the player will receive a massive amount of EXP, Galleons, the option for the NPC to join your crew (they are a good crew member), and a book on Medusa

Since Greek Mythology is real in this universe, is this supposed to be the Medusa from Greek Mythology or is the name just a coincidence?
A coincidence, just like minotaur, though the backstory is somewhat the same where she is cursed by a godess

I like thinking that people in the arcane universe compare some powerful people to greek myths base on their looks or abilities.
Like they compare the “minotaur” in WoM to the minotaur because of his size and his strength
This also kinda inspired my “hydra” boss idea who uses fire and acid magic and cloning curse, similarly to how the hydra gained more heads and could spit fire and acid
