The boxes near the pit in the Abyss of Charon are the sarcophagi of the people that died due to some reason, whether it be natural causes or ritual sacrifice. I believe that at some point, people were throwing these sarcophagi into the pit to either send the dead somewhere (likely the underworld), or keep something complacent. The way I see it, this is essentially people trying to replicate/fulfill the purpose of Charon of sending people to the underworld. If you stretch it enough, you could see the infected water that flows into that pit as an extension/representation of the river Styx. It could a be a possibility that people were put into the sarcophagi while alive as a way restraining them to prevent the overwhelming fear causing the person to avoid going in the pit. Maybe Charon ran the place before all the gods started to kicked the bucket.

The dark sea spirits and our access to elysium are a result of the pk killing hades, everythings unleashed and now the afterlife has no eternal watcher.

thought i’d share my theory aswell
the aberration rill hendrix talks about might actually be hades. there’s not much evidence supporting my claim, but what made me come to that conclusion is that:
- rill describes the aberration as some sort of an unfathomable presence far to the south
- rill also mentions how those who try to sense it long enough begin to feel uneasy or begin to feel fear (iirc)
- the pk had to sail far to the south into the uncharted seas to find hades, which means he likely managed to sense his presence
i assume something as powerful as a greek god would possess a strong presence that could be sensed from far away. judging by the fearful nature of the aberration’s energy signature, the fact that it could be sensed from far away and the fact that hades is the only remaining god, it is safe to assume that what people inside AO call ‘the aberration’ is the place where hades is hiding from the rest of the world
the mc is a schizoprenic terrorist, iris & morden don’t exist and there is no order of aesir
After defeating the Order of Aesir, the mc becomes evil and gets the time curse to travel into the past and recreates the Order, causing an infinite time loop.
