1 hour later, Altavista
~Sage’s Perspective~
I look at the fleet approaching us. The Shining Pirates emblem is on the sails of the ships.
“What are they thinking?” I ask to myself. “They must be insane if they think they can defeat us.”
“What do we do, empress?” asks one of my captains.
“Send our vanguard ships to intercept them,” I order. “The rest of us will remain here.”
The man nods and runs to the scouts to give them my orders. I watch the approaching fleet with growing anticipation.
A few minutes later, 5 minutes off Altavista
~Pax’s Perspective~
BAM!
I imbue my fist with lightning and punch an Emerald Skull Pirate. He’s sent flying off the boat and I jump onto another ship, releasing an explosion of lightning that takes out more pirates.
“Great job,” Avery yells. He sends a blast of fire at another pirate before cutting through another one.
FWOOM!
A beam of light cuts through the sky, eliminating multiple groups of pirates. Flying above me with a flight spell, Averill takes out more enemies as the battle rages on. He’s good.
Averill flies at ship. I watch as his body suddenly turns into light and dashes at a caravel, destroying it in an explosion of light.
“Wow,” I mutter.
“Blitz spell,” Avery explains. “One of the most advanced spells in the world. It’s usually a sign of mastery over magic.”
“Really?” I ask.
“Yeah, it usually takes years to master your first magic though.”
“Took me less than a month to use placed explosions,” I shoot back.
“What?”
“Long story. I can tell you later.”
“Great. Now let’s get back to the ship.”
We run to the Delta. Arianna runs over, panicked.
“We lost Caleb,” she gasps. “One moment he was alive and fighting and the next he was dead. We didn’t even see who took him out. It went by so fast.”
“The entire fleet of ships are moving towards us!” someone yells. I look to the front and see a ton of ships moving towards us.
“Looks like they saw their vanguard get their asses kicked and decided to help,” Avery mumbles.
“Everyone to your stations!” Castor orders. “Now!”
We run to get ready for combat as the 2 fleets get closer to each other.
