As we all know, modifiers are ingame right now, and certain modifiers on certain items look awesome, however, a large number of armor sets and accessories are not in the pools you can get modifiers in and they shouldn’t be since that would defeat the entire purpose of modifiers.
This suggestion is solely for vanity purposes.
Armor Paints:
When opening chests from treasure charts or underwater locations, you may get an armor paint, these paints apply the visual effect of its modifier without adding the stats, these paints can be washed off with an item bought at any tailor.
Painting armor would not change the armor’s stats, even if the chosen armor is modified already, in which case the visual effect of the modifier would be overwritten, but the effect of whatever the original modifier was would stay.
The Purpose:
Vanity. That’s literally it.
Modifiers look cool so I want a way to apply their visual effect to items that would otherwise be impossible to find the modifiers on without destroying game balance by actually letting us put modifier stats on items like atlantean essence lol.
Getting a blasted armor paint would probably be just as hard as getting actual blasted titanium lol.
I think they should be obtained similarly to how the fishing enchantments are found, though, in that they never replace what you get and are instead thrown in as a bonus.
Getting an armor paint when you’re actually looking for an item with a modifier would kinda suck.
had an idea where modifers could affect weapon too ( to give warriors something more interesting to play with ig, then again maybe they like plain ol normal weapons more )
It just occurred to me that since this is strictly for vanity, this could also give us way way way more designs and textures than currently exist ingame without having to think of balancing or even tie those designs/textures to any future modifiers.
