tbh a more in-character outcome for this comic is probably morden trying to leave to redwake by himself and ben goes PLEASEPLEASEPLEASEPLEASE before rowing him there

Ben, the Curse Thief
- imagine morden’s role in the original story but now it’s portrayed by the biggest yearner in the war seas. he also gets more… dangerous about it. would let the curse eat him alive for morden’s sake
- also imagine ben but he’s more depressed and mentally unstable
- went off to get the death curse partially bc he’s desperate for a way to protect morden then his bad decision making comes back to bite him hard
- he actually remembers their entire situation pre-escape. he’s left with the decision to either let his crush start a new life without him or actually pursue their relationship. so he chooses to row morden to redwake and leave him there in hopes of morden moving on. they run into sailor’s lodge again. ben’s whole morden insanity begins again
- he keeps visiting dawn island to pay respects to tucker, aka. morden’s friend. before sailor’s lodge story, he keeps expressing guilt over pining over tucker’s friend at the grave. afterwards, he starts updating tucker on morden’s status to tell him morden’s been doing pretty alright… he’ll be fine…
Morden, the Strongest Will of All Legacies (or whatever title they give the AO player)
- shadow magic, conjurer build (havent thought about what he’d end up using after retiring from his dagger)
- merciful storyline options. he does not want to kill.
- despite his merciful storyline options, his dialogue/interactions in the story makes him come across as a bit of an asshole. imagine him picking the more assholeish/blunter dialogue options
- he’s aware of ben’s big crush on him and had vague memories of him returning the same feelings. though he’s trying to figure out about what they have going on right now (he still lets ben kiss him though)
- one time he picked up and read the journal ben dropped. it’s mostly about morden. (then ben almost became one with his curse after finding out morden has read it)
