Thus, higher tier charts should have guaranteed rewards
For example, when unearthing the final spot for Rare+ charts, an “Exquisite Golden Chest” will spawn, which has the same rewards as a normal chest plus the below
Rare Charts: Guaranteed Rare weapon/scroll/technique Exotic Charts: Guaranteed Rare weapon/scroll/technique with chance of Exotic enchant Legendary Charts: Guaranteed Rare weapon/scroll/technique AND Exotic enchant
Won’t this make getting x item too easy?
Best solution would be to make Legendary/Exotic charts slightly rarer from rivals, because it’s kind of funny how frequently you can get them.
Also, I’m surprised there isn’t a chart-exclusive armor set yet. A “Buried” equipment set that grants, idk, warding and defense or something would be cool.
i dont get how doing common and uncommon charts is any better tho
like yeah the loot of rare charts is underwhelming but keep in mind you got an infinite of rare+ charts anytime you want, and either way the reward will be at worst the same as common for the first few spots
you get to the final reward (the only good part of higher rarity treasure charts) 1 step faster.
As it stands, the rewards for treasure charts are hot garbage.
I get a legendary chart, run across the whole map, visit Ravenna and shell island, and I get out of it with like 8 bronze sealed chests total?
No thanks, I’d rather sink 4 NPC sailboats.
If you’re hunting for a rare scroll/tech/weapon, if exotic charts had a chance of replacing a guaranteed of the above with an exotic enchant, then you might avoid them.
\I am here to tell you that from chests alone, I get1-2 legendaries every week, multiple exotics every day, and countless rare charts.
I think guaranteed rare items is the worst idea known to the man, and I would say whilst increasing the odds for actually decent stuff is a good idea, as it stands, your suggested stats are far too much
1-2 legendaries a week, which would translate to 1-2 exotic scrolls, assuming you complete the entire chart.
Meanwhile, you can pull potentially hundreds of DS chests in the same time period, and get magnitudes more rewards.
I don’t see how my proposed “drop rates” are too high?
If they’re guaranteed, I would bother to get luck pots and spam chests to get more charts. As it stands, I do not go looking for tons of charts. I pick up around 1-3 and go from there.
If its guaranteed, it will plummet the market for those items faster than a toddler in a tide pool
In the same time period it takes to complete a Legendary chart (assuming you have one), you can probably get 10+ DS chests (more if you’re lucky) and even Luck III means that 1/3 to 1/2 of those will have exotic scrolls.
Rare equipment becomes nearly worthless after a few weeks anyways, so I don’t see how them being guaranteed would change their value all that much.
I mean, with my set up[ 200+agility, fast brig], I can pick up chests along the way, as I assume others do, and complete every spot within 1-2 minutes of arriving on the island [par from shell island,]
I do agree with increasing odds for things like rare weapons or adding charting exclusive items – HOWEVER, guaranteed drop rates are the worst, and a good example is how the sunken is dropping rapidly in value due to its guaranteed pity rate – even if you alread got one before pity hits!
Good point there - I can’t say I’m the most experienced charter, but I still feel that at the moment, the payoff for high-tier charts is nowhere equivalent to the time investment.
Perhaps guaranteed is a bit overkill, but even a moderate chance for Rare equipment and Exotic enchants would be significantly more reason than there’s right now.
I agree in that aspect yes, hepay off is ludicrously poor. I’ve had better payoffs iwth common and uncommon charts, I will be blunt.
Legendary and exotic are only valuable due to how streamlined they are and they guarantee I wont get the same island multiple times. I always do them alongside other common/uncommon charts.
Ive found rare+ charts give me more unique islands like elm, mango isle, and other fun isles! Ive gotten all charting areas completed but its fun to pop back to elmisland once in a while
