Now whenever you trade with other players, or you use a shop, you get taxed with the percentage scaling with your players killed stat, with 1 kill translating to 1%, so 100 kills would add a 100% tax, this tax is based on the amount of drachma you pay in any instance, including placing down camps.
When selling items to npcs you have a max cap of 75% tax, meaning that you may only get a measly 25% of the drachma you would’ve gotten.
When selling cargo crates you also have a cap of 75% tax.
Drachma via looting money bags that players drop will have a max cap of 99%… just to be generous.
Upon reaching 100 player kills you cannot turn off PvP mode and you have no protection from players who have PvP disabled, so you can get into one way battles where only you can be hurt. Additionally you no longer count as even being alive and instead you’re dead inside, so you don’t increase the players killed stat when you’re killed by another player with PvP off.
Upon 250 player kills you’re locked out of the story and cannot progress any further in it.
500 player kills rewards the player by having Poseidon telling you “get stuffed” and removing your awakening.
At 1k player kills you spawn with the handcuffs that you get upon being arrested and they remain for 30 seconds, you cannot be freed from your shackles, and you can still be hurt during this time.
Reaching 1 mil player kills bans your account off of arcane odyssey with the ban message: “social skill issue, git gud”
