Could the player have beaten Calvus if he had the cloud curse?

Yea, it’s been a while since I checked, so I don’t really remember when it was said, so I could be wrong, in which case Calvus just folds the player and that’s the end of it.

because not all magic energy is the same, if you were a water magic user and absorbed the fire curse for example, it would be as if water magic is clashing with fire magic because your entire body IS fire magic, and it would cause you immense pain to try to use water magic afterwards. It works the same way with other magic types, because the curse is a specific type of energy it will reject any other type of energy

Yep, if the magic is different at all from the Curse, it wont work, regardless if its a similar type of magic. If you have Light Magic and you have the Light Curse, go ahead, it wont hurt ya. But anything that aint Light, even if said magic is somehwhat related to Light, it will hurt you.
