Wait why would this be like, actually a really interesting goal for the order?
Obviously not like, the literal Mike from deltarune, but what if the order is trying to further magic at all costs in order to find something? Or someoneâŚ
Yeah, itâd be more interesting if we knew they had an actual goal rather than essentially being a gratified university but EVIL and SHADOW GOVERNMENT

Unfortunately Vetexâs originality hasnât showed us much fruit, as seen by pretty much every major character
Even back in AA, his alleged âoriginalityâ was not on display, it was just a more whimsical story.
He at least had kinda original lore
Then he went âuhhh i cant think of an original history so everything was the same before magicâ
Okay but wouldnât it be so badass if the Order was actually really tragic and it was started by like a kid whoâs family was taken by some sort of chaos event and out of desperation he formed the order to advance humanityâs potential with magic to rewrite reality or something to save said family
It would be awesome because itâs drawing parallels to how durza came to be and maybe all the strings and links with royalty and whatnot are how these projects are funded

OK maybe this is all just rambling but it sounded cooler in my head
Too bad itâll probably only amount to âobligatory antagonistic group that is evil for the sake of being evil so the mc has some form of goalâ
We can only hope the order has a good buildup, weâve barely scratched the surface
I really think AO could do with having morally good or genuinely human feeling characters in âevilâ or bad organizations due to complicated reasons and the inverse with bad people in things like the navy and the new knightâs proxy guild. Playing around with contrasts like that could open a lot of story potential

AA was a bunch of fantasy stuff put together wasnât it? Even some of the names were copied
I do think it would be cool if the orderâs goal was actually one that would benefit everyone, but to achieve it they have to cause so much harm that most people wouldnât consider it worth it, which is why they hide what they are doing (maybe they also hide their true goal from the lower ranking members so they can recruit evil people who donât know that they are working towards something good)
However, we probably shouldnât be discussing this in this thread.
