I know that place is totally safe, just as Shieldguard’s top floors are. Problem was, I didn’t have time to go there, I needed to go afk asap, and I had a choice between Sameria or Monos. I could have made invis aura potion and just stood in the bear’s cave, but I doubt that thing would have lasted against the entire pirate squad
Sure, that is possible, but why? What does that give them? Why would they bother? There were many people near the Caitara square, but they seemed chill

I’ve already seen on a few occasions at Makarinos of a bear attacking one of the random criminals or bounty/contract one
all ive gotten is npcs attacking in self defense (me positive renown letting negative npc attack positive npc and having them duke it out) so idk
Animal ai just seems to work differently compared to the humanoid npcs, animals don’t just stand in place till they see you, they walk around
like a homeless town npc
Imagine travelling across the entire Nimbus sea to fight Delamere at Makrinaos only to see a bear maul him to death in front of you before you can even damage him
I did see Evander actively fighting a bear once on the platform area
5 seconds later the bear model refreshes but now it has a crystal orb in its maw and delamere leggings on its hind leg
And can now spawn spirit bears that also deal %damage
Who won?
Yes, the animals do aggro on npcs, but not the other way around. The npc must take damage from an animal first to start attacking it. The whole plan I described was designed to make the bear guard me from pirates in its own cave, while I am invisible, therefore untargettable by the said bear.

a goddamn tornado has spawned ON my ship
im not taking damage yet for some reason
i set sail
brace, enchanter charm, shipbuilder repair
5 seconds later my ship somehow loses 17k hp at once and sinks

The tornado made the game register your ship as “being lifted by a tornado“, that is why it wasn’t taking damage while idle. As soon as your ship exited the tornado’s ship lifting range, the game registered it as impacting a surface after a long fall and immediately dealt the fall damage your ship accumulated
