Compromising with WHO exactly?? Vetex already has said he isnt changing it
if your issue is that positive rep players have no downside other than rep loss to getting hunted akin to negative rep, why is this not in your original post? i think youâre kind of spread out here. do you care about jailtime feeling unfair, or do you care about the two paths not being even in your opinion? i think theyâre balanced out pretty well, though i still agree that the jailtime is just too long.
I hate player jailtime.
It has ruined negative rep for me.
Why the HELL would I suggest player jailtime for positive reps?
I said that at the start of this whole thread lol.
Iâm telling you, in a very straightforward way, that if player jailtime was meant to encourage healthy gaming habits or whatever your point even is at this point, it would affect everyone.
Quick fix: dont play negative rep if you dont like the drawback of it
Hey, I thought you said youâd get out of here if I stopped replying to you, what happened to that?
Did it shock you that I actually stopped replying or something?
Ahh, yes, the âit only affects you, so thatâs the only issue! just stop doing x and youâre fine!â problem. Literally the most tunnel vision thinking possibleâŚ
No, its that it came back on my feed, its that you just happened to still be a nutcase
Then mute the thread and get outa here like you said you would, plain and simple.
Stop trying to egg people on with your awful takes.
I dont want to.
Say hello to your testers:
(Also here is my input on this)
The only time jail occurs is when: NPC hunting (you have their bounty and you die), Player bounty hunting (either they have your poster and you kill them (with them being negative rep) or you have their poster and win (with them also being negative rep)) or notiriety gank squad
I see Namallâs idea of promoting better gaming habits and break times, but why does this only apply negative rep player. Are they truly in need of better gaming habits more so then fame players (personally i find fame players need more time to chill then bounty players)
And also I remeber reading somewhere that vetex was going to add fame jails. But they were removed for being unfun or smth
The jailtime nerf is nice. But i have 968 hp if a level 200 gravy even breathes in my direction i evaporate
I personally dont like how dying to your rival causes you to get arrested +executed
When you defeat them and they just slip away (this is why i was considering a suggestion to make it so you can get your rival jailed and executed so you can pick another one)
I actually made a suggestion way back when where youâd be able to kill your rival permanently yourself if you wanted to since clearly the grand navy canât handle it as one of the parts of it lol.
Alternatively Iâd just give them a little nudge nudge at their help desk or assassin rep in the direction of your rival to clear it thataway.
Anyways, back to what I was typing a novel about but decided not to-
Onto the topic of âhealthy habitsâ as someone who has QUITE A FEW characters I like swapping to, the grind thatâll be required for any amount of completion regarding titles and miscellaneous crafting talents between them is multiplied a rather hefty amount.
I suppose retention was more important then compelling interaction- they already kneecapped themselves if âhealthy habitsâ were a priority. A bit too late to be worrying about things like that now.
The assasin clerk âoh you want us to help you get rid of your rival permanently we will see what we can do, for a price.â
(Help my rival is a power build savant with crystal iron leg and poison magic)
I am so sorry for your loss
ANYWAYS:
Back to the main topic: Player jailtime.
Would be nice to get removed
But sadly dont see it happening
Mabey some sort of pre paid âi wanna just skip all thisâ
Iirc one of my suggestions when i was applying was a form of this lemme pull it up
Edit: nvm wasnât from my application
But it went smth like this
Basically GN arrest you and gives you 3 options
- Take the jailtime + execution (so someone can try and save you)
- Accept a âcontractâ where in exchange for your freedom they bring you to a island and tell you to hunt a (stronger) criminal (you only get this once per âlifeâ basucally once after every execution, this could also give some high-tier loot)
- Execution at this moment (the âjust get it over withâ option)
But think of the children or teens or adults whosâ eyesight will be saved by the immense boredom that sitting around and doing nothing will achieve in a game that already inspires ennui with its various craft grind or its unashamedly middling combat.
I donât really think boring your players with scads of RNG or inconveniences or gathering single motes of a resource at a time that are all ten minutes apart is very conducive to the exciting experience of being a spell-slinging corsair, but I guess some people feed off of repetition-
Also with the 2nd option you could try and escape
Mabey the target would offer you smth for getting them out of here/to a specific island
But doing so would instant mabey⌠7 star notoriety (which is level 200 captain iirc)
And if you fail it is instant execution
