Vetex once offhandedly mentioned a magic based off of plants that was loosely inspired by paper (in a statement about the possibility of ink and paper as lost magics).
I wonder if rupture is that magic. Since rupture is a very… bloody word.
rupture sounds more like a ‘concept’ magic like slash is.

I wonder how different Ancients will be. Scorch magic isn’t all that amazing, but as you said, physical concepts transformed into magic. When am I going to have magic that applies accelerated and uncontrolled mutation to other people’s cells until they become a giant piece of meat?
