Well I don’t go to conventions or do fursuiting at all. In fact, pretty much no one irl knows I’m a furry and I simply don’t express myself as one. I completely lack the irl part.
Often I see furries that are both, but I like to differentiate a little since I seem to fall into being one only online.
Doesn’t change that I am one regardless (specifically saying this to Stock), its just how I express myself differently irl and online.
I can’t really call it closeted at this point, especially online.

I think you might just be describing that weirdly, because that makes sense, I’m the same way, but it’s a weird way to say it. Not being a fursuiter, not going to conventions, and acting like a regular person in public, generally don’t mean that you’re only sometimes a furry, it just describes how you do it.
