I am designing a leviathan ™ for an arctic region in my discord servers world- an arctic region that has plates of VERY thick ice and near boiling water beneath due to underwater geysirs.
Then, there is the elephant- or better said, leviathan in the room: While i have a base idea of his mechanics and stuff, i have not yet decided on the specifics, so i am here now.
The critter will produce a deep layer of frost around it after diving up- likely has a very streamlined body with attachments to make crawling up and down ice mountains possible- with a semi smooth underside for smooth gliding and heatvents to give off excess cold or heat depending on which mode it is in.
(During swimming: Heat is given off, the body gets cooled. During the times its atop the ice: Heat is kept in, cold air is blasted out for a protective layer.)
It will likely have “caverns” of sorts along its body to cool down its own blood and add things into the air flowing around it- it holds several organs that manipulate the airpressure around it.
WHAT SHOULD IT BE!??
Gill haver (fish), has to dive down to get air periodically
Lung haver (mammal/reptile/whatever), has to dive up to get air periodically
FROG. (can breath both tm)

Raw. Not as in “I’m gonna f-” no, I mean I am going to eat it. I’m finding this weirdo, tying it down, taking a leg, and making it watch as I EAT ITS FLESH.
If I can’t eat humans, this is the next best thing.

Was basically the kid conceived in the dnd campaign said goddess happened to be in (the human was her warlock)- and now shes just pretty much vibing, doin stuff, etc.
Heard good gods have harems (ZEUS GODDAMMIT) and now has a GOAL- pansexual mess of a gremlin- and fluently shifts between several form, but that shark dog one and her pure humanoid form are the main ones.
She used to bully pirates a lot by letting the wind fuck their sails up.
They now want all of her followers DEAD.
