For anyone who's doing well in math, what does your study routine look like?

I’ve been here for a while and thought I’d find tips here since most of us are in school (highschool)
might be the most off topic post lol

I don’t have much of a “routine,” for studying, but whenever I’m doing last-minute reviews before a test, I often do it with my friends since it benefits all of us. Teaching the material or helping someone else often solidifies what you’re learning.

I dont do studying, i dont do learning, I dont do last minutes, and I only learn during the lesson. If I forget, I KILL myself.

Do all of it the day or so before it due.
Write/type everything on a sheet in the week before every test/exam.

Its a miracle I even have good grades, especially when it got so much worse in uni.

I have the unfortunate characteristic of being a former gifted kid who cannot study for shit

As for math, I prefer to memorize methods for solving different types of problems and just going from there, but I’m not sure how that would work for whatever specific type of math you’re studying

Proofs make me want to kms

Same but no line through

5 hours of revision a day, do past papers and stuff, review past papers with your teachers to get the good advice.

Imma flex a bit. I go from F to A in a year. No joke. Like my 7 years of study is just bum. I slept the whole year when I was 16. I dont even know my friend move to another school. I also teach kids math sometimes.

For math, you just need to understand these concept:

  1. BODMAS - Abbreviation for Bracket, I forgot what O is, Division, Multipilcation, Addition and Substraction.
  2. If you cannot imagine a number, just turn them into money. Basically do this if you really bad with number. This is honestly last ditch effort.
  3. Understand why the formula look like that. For example, Why Y = mx+c for straight line? Why it goes like that?
  4. AVOID USING CALCULATOR. Like literally. Are we deadass calculate 10+7 using calculator? Only use it when you really cant like root power or something like that. Otherwise learn to do math manually.

Look im not math genius but I can pretend like math genius if I know number involved.

Do this 4 thing and you can just, not study for exam. Like I never study for exam sake. But well each to their own.

that’s uh not high school maths

Yeah but people deadass fail that:skull:

Up to you if you want to follow it. Not my problem.

thats the neat part
i dont

i just read the theory, do some excercises and get good grades

second this

I never studied and often never did homework (once I got into pre-calc, I started actually doing it) and have gotten mostly A’s in math (Even though I’m doing AB calc as a 16yo highschool junior)

I used to hide my homework so my parents wouldn’t find them when raiding my backpack, I still have ~100 homework papers tucked behind my bookshelf in my room :frcryin:

my european mind cannot comprehend this thread

studying is for nerds i simply Do it

private school or chinese

i am very good at maths

i do not study or revise unless there is an in-school consequence for not doing so

hope this helps
