the public reactions will probably be abused by those very clans
still better than completely drowning them out, also they will be sorted to the bottom so larger clans arent overwhelmed and smaller ones can get members
might be stretching it, but it would be nice if your position, ship stash, and ship HP saves when you leave the game in the dark sea
obviously, would be disabled in combat, ship combat, and if your ship have very low HP
could handle it like that one space game I forgot the name of does.
You can initiate a ‘safe leave’ where you sit in place for about 30 seconds, and if you move in that time, its canceled.
Only when the timer runs out, you get booted and everything saves exactly how it is.
I really would not want to tie a feature like this even loosely to combat tags because we all know how AO’s combat tags are.
why did they not just, for example, give greatswords generally higher size and lower speed affinities? It would’ve accomplished the exact thing the weapon weight system does except without being completely invisible
Maybe spawnpoints could work like in WoM unless the story is in progress? Detects which civilized island you’re closest to, and then spawns you in its wilderness. You could obviously have moochezz’ camp system override but that could be the default behavior
Was one of the immersion features that I appreciated.
like when you last logged off? i could see that working
for that i think they should add a “Set spawn point” like a node or a explorer npc who sits and a camp site and you just set your spawn using the npc.
That would actually be Hella nice
Possibly an actual good immersion feature
oh the refugee camps are still missing NPCs
Aswell as at least ONE generic merchant at Port Mistral and Rosehenge, you can have the rest saying they’ve closed up shop for some random excuse
amd if not that than some npcs at rosehenge it has none
maybe munera garden having more workers and warriors you can talk to after Sir Garen gets upgraded?
both were fully evacuated
ooh a pve arena would be neat, then they can turn pvp off at munera since pvp arena already exists..
Dying at arenas doesn’t have any negatives aside for travel, which can be negated by camps and fast ships, and we already have PvE arenas. They’re called Fort Castrum and Montu.
ah it doesnt? thats good to know
when i realized that the new island was another arena one i was like “great im gonna get jumped and lose 50k drachma and 100k renown just because i wanted to 100% completion” but this pleases me to hear
those are forts, munera could have like a diluvian trial sort of thing where you fight stronger and stronger enemies in a “tournament” for mid to end-game loot
There’s also charting though if you have charts just dont go.
wait after all the loading screen, ingame tips, and the description of Munera, you didn’t know about “fight without penalty”?
HEY I DONT KNOW IF THIS HAS BEEN SAID BUT NEW DEVS PLEASE MAKE DARK SEA SLIPSTREAMS WHICH LET YOU TELEPORT TO A CERTAIN RANGE IF YOUR NAVIGATOR IS AT A CERTAIN LEVEL!!!
cs
what do loading screens have to do with anything? also i turned off ingame tips because they’re horribly implemented, and i don’t go to munera unless im on a new file and need progression so yes ive not seen anything that says “fight without penalty”, especially since i dont really read island descriptions unless they’re new
what i do remember is being ganked there numerous numerous times when around level 80 just because i wanted to chart for completion
forgot to respond to this but someone liked one of my earlier posts so i saw this and remembered
bit off topic but yeah thats im pretty sure thats exactly what they do, the concept itself is the exact same as the dark sea (you sail to world border then go into new non-instanced area) except instead of it being dark and gloomy its just kind of bright and mostly empty until something spawns, and the spawns are checked via chunks last i heard (saw someone farming astral knight from before they added moon’s eyrie and they had some sort of UI pulled up that looked like minecraft chunks being loaded and they were able to tell when an event spawned because it took up a certain amount of chunks)
would be cool
