Although morality is subjective I think it’s reasonable to say that most neurotypical people want to help others because we’re a social species, and we extend that desire to help towards things like animals and the environment
If we didn’t care for other beings we wouldn’t be developing alternates to the slaughterhouses we have now, or be trying to fix the environment with different sources for energy and resources
The only times a human being can be “evil” in my opinion is that of a psychopath, but psychopaths aren’t even fully human since their brains are deformed, so my argument stands
People aren’t perfect but I will never believe in a narrative where everyone is blanketed under the idea of being a bad person just because we make mistakes and have self interest

Not really, the reason why it would become frowned upon would be if people noticed the similarities between the two and deemed there to be no significant differences . The law doesn’t influence this much. Pirating media is similar to walking into galleries or clubs without paying, the’re similar acts and both illegal but the former isn’t looked down upon while the latter is.
