I tried killing Shifter of Fate and died like 4 times…
buy an armored scroll from the marketplace and put it on the hull armour and put a brisk scroll on the sail
(or you can just cheese the shitter of fate by luring them to silverhold or that ravenna fort or your own island build with a bunch of mortars)

Okay, first, enchant your things with at least level 1 enchants, better than unenchanted anyway.
Second, there are variants of ship hull made out of iron that you can obtain from nimbus sealeds, they can rival the archaic hull, and even be better than it at times.
Third, don’t use Skyhall Guards, they’re bad as a crew. Either get Knights Proxy, or Brotherhood Knights, preferably the latter since they don’t waste their stats on Stability, which you can gain simply by putting a few rowboat launch attachments. Oathkeeper Squires and the ghost crew are both better, but those are limited to talents, so aren’t ideal.
Fourth, about that Rowboat Launch. Why do you have no attachments? They’re helpful to have. You better get two rowboats to put on your bow near the mortar, and two real attachments - near your wheel.
Fifth, upgrade your deckhands, their active abilities and passive stats really help.
I’d say the sails, extra speed and turning are always good. Better have some durability to counter the decrease, though. Or, if you feel funny, put it on your gambling mortar. I did that, it was great, but the speed from the sails is just too useful to pass up.
Also, why do you use dragonfire carronades? They’re super close ranged, pick something with a better range, like iron culverins. The shorter your cannon’s range is, the more pvp-focused your ship gets.
You seem way too dependent on ds stuff, most of it is outclassed by nimbus sealed chest parts
Ruined archaic mortar, from personal experience, isn’t worth it, short reload is nullified when it explodes every other volley, which is guaranteed to happen when you least need it, and it also damages your ship
Dragonfire carronades are also far too close range for SoF, the fire jet requires you to be dangerously close to the enemy which isn’t ideal against brigs in general

Enchanced or charged cannon and motar (preferably one of the current level limit silver ones)

Powerful hull? Armored ram? Wut? Swap those two, a powerful hull only gives stability, no? That can easily be gained by other means
Look, I agree that the archaic mortar is not the best choice, but its so damn fun gambling on it. Besides, you can get those rare high moments where it fires seven times in a row without exploding, thats why we’re gaming, after all
They are the best damage-wise, but its not all about damage
Dragonfire carronades are SUPER bad, replace them with iron culverins and enchant them with charged
I want to play Arcane Odyssey, not sol’s cringe
they’re very powerful if you can get in close, but then you usually also take a lot of damage
i used to use dragonfire and they were so short ranged it was basically unusable, culverins are for sure way better
