How does resistance work rn?

I’m working in a magma ileg build with high resistance. How should I play to maximize the effectiveness of resistance in combat? like should I charge all my attacks? or is it better to just spam uncharged attacks to get more damage reduction?

i recommend charging with magma, but ileg is just spam since you cant afford them to get away if you get up close and personal with fs’s

youre playing iron leg. just mash your head onto your keyboard and you will win, no resistance is needed.

charging your attacks is probably too slow and too predictable

Here’s the link to how resistance is intended to work vs. how it actually works ingame

As of writing this (v1.17.16), Resistance stat does the following:

  • It operates at maximum efficiency during charging, reducing incoming damage by the percentage displayed in your character’s gear stat when hovered over. This percentage is mitigated by Armour Piercing
  • When releasing the key (or after 0.5s upon your character initiating the attack), its effectiveness is reduced to 50% of the percentage above and last until you exit endlag.

With that in mind, if you manage to chain abilities with <=0.5s endlag, you’d have damage reduction all the time so Atk Speed synergizes with Resistance better than before. It’s decent if you don’t invest in AtkSpeed and opt for a slower approach to combat, in which case it acts more like an aggressive parry mechanic.

On the forum I try to remain a calm, professional and friendly attitude out of respect for fellow forumers and general politeness. Not today though, you’ve been a constant annoyance for a long time now. Despite being confronted multiple times, you kept on doing this overdued gag while contributing nothing to the topic at hand, this time even when approached by someone earlier you’re still shameless enough to say this.

Atp if your only defining attribute is a stand up comedian recycling and repeating jokes taken from the oldest books, it’s best to apply for circus clown since you’d be getting a free costume and a close-minded audience as the job’s perks.
