so we have the undead revival magic which allows you to make puppets (controlled undead) and bring back people from the dead (the peacekeeper for example)
and it got me thinking
if spirit energy cannot be directly controlled, how does resurrection even work? how does one bring someone back from the dead with the use of magic, a fundamentally different force of nature from spirit energy? or is dead revival magic not specifically tied to magic energy, and instead works like a blessing (experimental curse)? if it works like a blessing, why is that spirit energy able to influence magic, but not vice versa? or am i getting something mixed up?
The category is difficult but I think it would work more externally although the lore is subject to retcons to be honest so all of this stuff could be wrong or correct potentially? It reminds me of the elder scrolls where necromancy (resurrection and reanimation of the dead) is under the category of the conjuration school of magic. It’d be interesting if we saw something like categories perhaps.
I remember in the Q&A it was talked about and they said it has a similarity with enchantment magic and it had something to do with intent also I remember them saying something that regular dead revival was somewhat limited in range and capabilities and Acherons powerful usage of it was a special case but spoiler territory
whatever Vetex says I think. There was that curse but I dont recall dead revival magic
