I find just chatting with random people or helping them with something or just doing anything together is really fun.
Join into servers and indiscriminately attack everyone you see. Doesn’t matter if they’re low levels, leaderboard players, or ship farmers. Kill everyone on-sight. Unprovoked. No posters, just raw killing for the love of the game.
Bonus points if you constantly repeat villain npc voicelines. It’s awesome!

Looking for hecate is the opposite of fun, so you have to do the opposite of that, which means you have to avoid hecate essence.

There’s nothing to have fun in the game as of this moment, as much as I like the game, I have to admit that both PvE and PvP isn’t fun. PvE in this game is mindlessly boring while PvP, it depends on the person themselves if they like toxicity or not though I’m only saying this when it comes to overworld PvP, Elysium PvPs from the looks of it are quite tame.
Overall, the full release update is the only way to make the game fun since it looks like they fixed some of the problems on both sides. In other words, just wait for full release if you want to have fun I guess.

I assure you after beating steel soul after normal mode in 120 hours of playing in 10 days I am very burnt out
