durzas insane destructive power is i think unique to his absorption curse, pouring the energy of every single one of his dozens of magics and curses to the point that he loses most of them is something only he can do

i still see it as like, having magic energy means youre a wire with resistance so while current can flow through you, it’s strength is decreased, while not having magic energy means youre a wire with no resistance so current is unaffected flowing into you

Wait a second no one has zero magic energy. Some people just have more magic energy than others but its never actually zero. Thats why people use swords and fighting styles with magic energy. We haven’t actually seen anyone with zero though I bet someone with zero will appear someday cuz cliche.

okay first of all, if we were to accept this theory (despite its lacking evidence) that retcons basically the entire story since the fracture couldnt of ever happened nor any of the destruction before it since the fracture is the thing that put magic energy everywhere (only reason why im not saying stuff like iris melting the iceberg or breaking the windows of the castello and allanon breaking the chains is because of the fracture)
secondly, just because it interacts with the magic energy in someone doesnt mean that it needs magic energy to interact with, like i said im sure its moreso like having resistance whereas having no magic energy (which, of course, is impossible, but this is just in theory) would mean you take the full force of it
to further support my statement, the weaker someone’s magic energy, the stronger a magical attack will be against them, so it makes no sense that as you go down in energy eventually to zero that suddenly it goes all the way back up to straight invincibility
