anyways there really is no important lore reason to keep chaos and creation other the fact that its greek mythology but. you could literally replace all the greek gods with oc gods and it wouldn’t make a single difference because its shoe-horned in quite oddly and. badly
Now that I think about it your kinda right. You could swap this with any mythology and there wouldn’t actually be too many differences as long as they have some key ones like a god of magic. The greek side of AO is kind of not present outside how some things are named.
even this literally does not matter because the only reason hecate is important in lore is her shoe-horning into the new lore rewrite + gameplay reasons (change your magic!)

I feel like a smoother change would have been to just have Hecate and Prometheus work together.
Prometheus is connected to gifting fire to humans, but also foresight, which could in a way mold him into more of a herald-of-new-era character. Giving humans the gift of fire, aiding Olympians against Titans, and finally giving humans the power of magic.
Hecate, meanwhile, could be sort of like a mentor to him, the brains behind the operation in a way.
It would actually allow both to keep a reasonable degree of importance in the lore, instead of Hecate just being a nuisance that has to be fixed to ensure consistency.

Maybe, though I wouldn’t be for sure since it was just revealed. Vetex is trying to make Hecate’s shattering seem very important though such as Hecate Shards being how you get lost magics, what I said earlier, and prob one more thing I’m forgetting rn.

Mutations still exist, and is still the canonical way of how you make Lost Magic. Hecate Shards instead became the way to invent new Magic types, and the in game way for us to mutate (though we’re supposed to have every mutation, so that most likely explains it).
