I like the executions, I find it fun to talk to the executed and react to their crimes. Murdering innocents, property damage, theft, even defeating Revon, the Prince of Ravenna, I can excuse those, but illegal activity? That’s too far, they should have more of the stabby spear people on the podium for such a crime.

He prob just misunderstands that you are annoyed that Vetex or any dev hasn’t implemented a PVP shield after execution which is understandable. Title is a lil misleading tho.

oh no no no, see he’s using projection to bundle me up with the strawman he’s made of the PvE community, in order to pass my experience off as “PvE players are whiney”

this is what PvP has always been like, just people abusing every advantage and mechanic they can get to win. these people dont play to be fair, if they can free and immediately hunt you again during an execution they will.

also im just going to say it here, as someone with 3.5k playerkills and a love for this games pvp getting jumped is probably the most game ruining experience for me, yes i own a 126k infamy clan but i still hate being jumped or jumping others, if i wanna pvp i just open an elysium

trying to gank people is a drag to do, people still manage to run away and its actually infuriating, when i try to hunt people in this game they dont even engage. you might as well just stand still

Yeah, you surely can blame developers and balancers for this, but it is not opposite player’s fault that you are an easy target that don’t want to log out, they could have been lvling up bounty hunting or gainning infamy from you. Btw, you still had a choice, call a friend or server hop, so it is not a completely dead end situation.

This is true, but I doubt it is limited to PvP only, like… chest routes and pre-nerf sunken farming methods existed. For the second one it was straight up bug abuse since gems were not intended to give you infinite oxygen. Some people make big money and they also have to beat competition with their own ways.

I could post that rant almost into any hate train topic about PvP toxicity and it still would remain true. Yours is still one of these since for some reason you claim that being able to hunt you over and over again with advantage is not only a hole in game’s mechanic, but also an opponent’s “toxicity” towards you.

This is a solid hour and a half you could’ve spent on smth productive. (I actually read the post and it was just me being ignorant, that’s MB).

from what i can tell its a bit of both

toxicity to hunt down 1 single person cause you already know you can win & the game mechanic allowing you to be hunted during an execution (you are completely defenseless and unable to move for the first attack allowing it to be fully charged half health gone)

This is fucking ridiculous. I’m guessing you’re either young or haven’t played that many games beside AO, because locking you into server hopping is completely toxic. Also what’s telling me that the new server I join will have me in the exact same situation

I really don’t care about your opinion anymore though cause every reasonable person in this thread seems to agree with me anyway.

Yeah this isn’t good advice but when the other, more demoralizing option is ‘just toggle PvP off’ or ‘git gud’ then it’s the best one

Honestly it should just skip to the execution and only put you in jail if there’s an execution currently in progress or queued up, and then give like a 1 minute shield after respawn post-execution(freed or not) so the person can atleast prepare for it.

No no you see every criminal has to get 2948 hours of downtime because some pvp sweatlord ganked them, also they lose 40k (initial death and then exeuction) because criminal!!1!!1!1!

2 of the 3 regents are under 250k, the 3rd one is 250 exact though, so it can still be obtained, i pretty much just buy out the entire brotherhoods stock of pearls when i see them with my pvp disabled
