ohh okay, i guess ill go look that up on the wiki
Well, its not limited, but… Let’s just say its borderline inaccessible
- Taphs are endangered species nowadays
- The first hit of Gashing Wound does 10 damage
- It is still Gashing Wound, so you can only land it if the survivor is unaware or just missed an ability
- The hitbox of it is big, so you are very likely to hit Taph’s tripwire with it
- If there’s a subspace tripmine, nobody’s gonna camp on the border of its explosion radius, only on the mine itself, so you can’t reach them
- Those few Taphs that still remain place their tripwires smartly, so if you want the highest chance of getting the badge, each wire basically becomes a Digital Footprint for you
Just like me ![]()
Some people don’t even do that. As a “certified” taph main I place my traps in most devious places which would be very disadvantageous for the killer to get caught in, it doesn’t even require the survivors to get close to it, just lure the killer in there and that’ll be enough
i am the sniper
Agree, most tripmines just sit somewhere behind a corner, and camping inside one’s blast radius is actually a bad choice. What I meant is that if you see a player and you see that he’s near a mine, he’ll stand on it or just run away
I feel very guilty if someone dies while I have at least one of my abilities off cooldown. I can’t afford myself to sit 270 studs away from the action like old Dusekkar did. I am not that confident in my aim. Besides, Dusekkar is a high priority target, so if I manage to lure the killer to chase me instead of that injured shed he was chasing, that’ll be very good
Tell me, if you see someone being chased, who are you gonna zap with your beam: the killer, or the survivor?
get greedy and line up to hit both
I have a headcanon that John Doe has a passion for music because like all of his chase themes are just… chef’s kiss
Not that other killers don’t have good songs, it’s just that John has a weirdly large library of wholesale bangers
Default John Doe chase music is so peak unless they changed, I dunno, I know nothing about what they’re doing over there now
Hitting both feels like luck, not something you gonna intentionally do. And waiting for an opportunity is just pointless waste of time and zap’s cooldown
both
Do people really rely on this as an actual consistent trick? If I see an opportunity to hit both - I’ll take it, but zapping just the survivor is enough
i used to reliably hit both like ~75% of the time
~95% hit rate tho so not always worth it
zapping survivors is better as it isn’t affected by stacking, yes, but if it’s just you the killer is better
Usually, I am the only Dusekkar on the server, so stacking isn’t an issue. As for why zapping a survivor is better, the overheal. And, if it’s just me and the killer, its better not to zap at all. You slightly slow down while casting, and most killers are competent enough to dodge it
oh i didn’t know that, i quit since then
Cool!
I wonder who do I choose next? Builderman, or Elliot?
