Not game music but it is a REMIX. I’ll admit, I love when people make remixes of the project moon music in this item asylum but when its something that ISN’T project moon you can insure its peak. I genuinely started cackling like a maniac when I found this because out of all things it was fucking Lipo and I love Lipo

Yes this is technically game music. It was used in The One Tix april fools event for Combat Initiation
i’ve heard these before and they’re pretty good (hatred is an 8.5 for me and ancients is a 8.05), try this one out (1:44)

overall an 8.025/10 (+0.005 for happy guy, so 8.02 otherwise)
guitar is great, especially at ~2:15, i like the bitcrushing too
would listen to it if i consistently listened to music outside of analysing
my one dislike is the drums at ~3:55, it just feels a little.. sloppy
i appreciate a counter rhythm but it isn’t done quite right here, but the rest of the song is good enough to keep it an 8.02
guitar at 5:30 is also pretty solid

armoured core 20th - great beginning, unsure of the vocals but more so a personal thing so it won’t affect score. really sets a vibe of freedom with the background instruments combined on top of the guitar, overall a 7.8/10. it repeats, but isn’t super boring (especially considering this seems to be a boss fight). if this was actual boss music i’d have it as an 8.33/10 while fighting, depends on what’s going on. sorry for the long note, just need to make my thoughts on this specific one clear
steel haze - ok you might like guitar heavy songs. i have heard this before, overall a pretty solid song. like a 7.75/10 overall, it has some 8.5/10 bits but also some 7/10 bits
stain - interesting opening, guitar once again. my main comment with this is that the vocals clash with the instruments a lot, and is very repetitive, this is probably like a 6.75/10. the vocals annoy me too heavily to give it anything above this
six black heaven guns - guitar once again . i like the lyrics actually showing on the video, i have no insanely positive nor any negative comments to make (aside from the funky sounding vocals at some bits), it’s just pretty good. 7/10
find the flames - this one is actually really good with the percussion. the vocals go amazingly with it too. i do appreciate the breaks in the song to ‘let the music breathe,’ i guess the intensity still remains so i don’t know how much it applies. 8.4/10

Oh dang I didn’t know you rated music. That makes me wonder about Lynx (or maybe Lipo though not the one I show here. It’s better to rate the source material than the remix). Mainly asking because personally I think Aden Mayo is a very good artist so it’d be cool to see what they are on your scale
rating makes it more interesting, my rating is in no way fact but just how well i think the song is done
bro this producer is going places, i have heard a lot of his work
it has the generic breakcore drums (breakcore doesn’t need drums) but it’s used super well so it doesn’t matter, i like the little bits of synth in the background. well layered song .
i know that beat at 1:40 from somewhere but i forgot (solitude maybe?). is very good, keeps intensity while not overshadowing the actual gameplay

Those were my top tracks from Block Tales, especially the ancients one (I just tend to prefer songs with Lyrics overall)
Though I’d say the best ones Mr.Potoe has done are Thunderstrike and Outrun the Nightmare (or rather his remix cuz apparently theres an original version). If you saw them you’d know exactly what I mean
