It’s not disturbing to me, I desensitized myself to shit like that because that’s just how the internet is, if you take everything, every single joke, threat, or maybe even someone being serious about something ‘‘horrifying’’ at face value, you’re soft.

Well there’d be two ways of fixing a problem like this: you can stop the people who are giving the death threats or you can make the people receiving them grow a thick skin. Either way can solve the problem, but it’s not viable to make everyone stop caring about what other people say. First of all, not everyone on the internet can distinguish between posts that are serious or joking and not everyone on the internet is good at perceiving how their posts might come off ie if they’ll be taken seriously.
Death threats don’t follow under free speech. I don’t care how hardened you think yourself as, it’s still a horrible thing to send death threats towards someone’s family.
Sorry if you think that instead of stopping people from making death threats, it’s better to make people ignore them. Also when saying i’ll kill your family and fuck their corpse, it’s fairly reasonable for someone to be mad. It’s not “salty”.
Yeah I know, there’s always a solution, you can simply block someone or just desensitize yourself to stuff like that that don’t even have a reason to affect you in any way

I think feeling disturbed towards death threats is way better than being the one who sends the death threats. Also, some people aren’t on the internet 24/7 and aren’t desensitized by people saying they’ll kill your family. It ain’t right to do it, no matter how you feel or if you know it’s all empty threats, it’s still a horrible thing
I mean, I agree with you that it might not be rational in some cases to get emotional or something over a death threat someone sends to you over the internet but we still need to accommodate those people that do get affected by death threats. It’s either them or the people sending the death threats.
Some people never change bro, you just gotta be ready to either fight back full force, or to cease communication the second you see things going the wrong way
