Okay so, a lot of you probably know about yet another Battleground game called Jump Showdown.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE using editors for making my own maps or even code stuff if I cant access an editor, and jump showdown conveniently has skill builder which can allow me to do practically anything I want. Almost.
After I learned it a bit, I decided to make a lot of gimmicky and technical movesets. One of them being the chemistry inspired one, which would basically use different chemical elements to make reactions. So here I will post my progress on this moveset or even make this a whole ass blog. Anyways, I dont know what to really start from, so here’s a few polls…
I decided this moveset to be Technical, but its based off Chemistry, so here’s the first poll right away. Lets decide which chemical element will be the first in this moveset. The first element has to be a gas and it will be the main damage source.
What first chemical element to be in the moveset?
- Hydrogen
- Carbon
- Chlorine
- Fluorine
Note:
Agressive type of movesets doesn’t have much gimmick, it has simple skills and just kind of exists! An example of this can be Hero Hunter (Garou) character from The Strongest Battlegrounds.
Gimmicky type of movesets has some interesting mechanics but is mostly similar to agressive. Example of this can be Blood Manipulator (Choso) from Jujutsu Shenanigans.
Technical type of movesets ABSOLUTELY rely on their special mechanics and gimmicks, you don’t need to just use the moves and deal some damage, but instead you need to use your big brain to even do anything. In good hands they are usually deadly btw. Uhh… I don’t remember any existing character in the battleground games with this type… I guess i’ll be the first to make one.
Later on I will post more polls for questions, but for now this is it. I hope you all enjoy this!
First note about this moveset right there, since this is gonna be a Technical moveset:
There will be 4 skills like usual, along with an R move. The 4 skills will work as reagent moves, meaning that they will NOT do anything except for activating and giving you a status effect until doing anything. By using a certain combination of these skills (Or just one of them) and then using R move will use an actual move. The R move works like a catalyst which activates all your active chemical elements to create an unique skill.
For example, if there is Hydrogen and Oxygen, you could use both of these and then activate the R move. This will result in you creating a splash of water and stuff. (I know it’s H2O not HO but im simplifying it as much as possible so I dont turn into a walking dead while making ts)
Well if you like technical movesets no better way to start with carbon, the building block of ethanol, glucose, methamphetamine, caffeine and oh so much more!
If you like raw power, then hydrogen’s probably the best option as it’s just super explosive.

The first element will probably rely on raw power so its probably Hydrogen lol
Carbon will be either supportive tier or offense-support i’ll decide that later
The awakenings gonna be nuke based, right?
once u unlock the transition metals and lathanides
I don’t know what will be the awakening yet, it will either be utter bullshit with 7 grams of californium or something else entirely, for now i’ll just work with the base
Alright guys, first element has been chosen to be Hydrogen!
Hydrogen will serve as a primary damage source and will (mostly) lack any supportive abilities.
Since some chemical elements tend to be colorless in real life i’ll be giving them color based off other factors. Thus, i’ll be giving Hydrogen a Pastel Blue shade.
Now, onto the second element! This one will serve as a mobility based element, thus it will give you a speed advantage over other players when using. When fusing and reacting with other elements it will either speed up the process (Basically make it really fast) or give you a velocity while casting.
This one I have decided to be Nitrogen, however there could be better choices so i’d like to hear you out
Should Nitrogen be a second element?
At the same time, i’m going for the third poll for the third element.
3rd element? (Support based)
- Carbon
- Oxygen
- Argon
- Fluorine
- Chlorine
AND 4th element. Though, this one will be a bit different
What type will be the 4th element?
Carbon is absolutely more of a technical element due to the shit it can pull
Argon is a horrible choice for… Anything, really, it’s completely inert and heavier than air. Not for speed, not for support, not really even a damage dealer.
A good speed/agility element I’d say is helium, it’s very light and inert, so it serves as a strong mobility skill but only mobility.
But for actual attack speed, you should look for something used often in catalysts. I do know platinum, paladium and other precious metals are used for some organic reactions, but there are probably more universal catalysts.
Alternatively, it could be oxygen, which creates catalysts, but isn’t one itself.
I added Argon mostly because it is used for “shielding” during Hydrogen and Nitrogen extraction (Sorry for bad wording)
Considering its an inert gas it COULD make some sense as a defensive element so thats why I added it at all lol
Edit: also I realized solid Hydrogen exists. This leads me to a possibility I can make skills with solid Hydrogen, however I have no fucking clue what its properties are except for the fact its one of the least dense materials (someone confirm pls) so can any Hydrogen fan out there tell me other properties of it?? Google doesnt tell me
flourine because tothpaste would be funny
“did you brush your teeth today” ahh
Hi everyone, i finally got some free time to work on the moveset. I made Hydrogen animation (with some help because i have no fucking clue how does point system work) and made the Release move (subject to name change) that works exactly as a catalyst.
Sorry the quality stinks im lazy to set up OBS studio
Either way the first move (out of 16) is done. For those curious - when using the Hydrogen move you get a hidden “Hydro” point FIXED TO YOURSELF. This point affects the catalyst move itself, meaning that if you have a Hydro point and then use Release you’ll get the shown above skill. This will work with all the other elements. If it’s gonna be possible at all, i’m also gonna add fusions so yeah i’m gonna suffer.
Fun fact: just one hydrogen move took 3 branches to make. If i take 3 branches for any other move (somehow) then it means i’ll have to make 48 branches in total. (49 if we count the intersection branch that leads to the skills). This skill will be dense as fuck
either way the move works as a self explosion with delayed secondary explosion.
Did i cook with the move?
- Yes, everything is fine!
- I love the concept but it’s made poorly.
- This move is terrible, never cook again
- Other (post)
For now i’ll polish some things out and probably start making Nitrogen
Edit: also sorry y’all for cringy SFX i couldnt find any good one

Oh and yeah, now that I’m thinking about it…
Mobility skill of Nitrogen will be…
- Leap (Upwards)
- Dash (Forwards)
- Other
Edit: you fucking kidding me why doesnt poll work
Edit2: fixed
I say forward because nitrogen won’t go up very fast in the air
Polished the skill, is it much better than the previous version?
in the meantime… nitrogen skill is coming
edit: yeah thanks roblox for WHATEVER REASON the word “Nitro” or “Nitrogen” gets tagged. Great.
edit2:
nitrogen!!!
Alright Nitrogen first skill finished. As always, gonna polish it a little bit and move onto the next element.
Also has a hit variant:
(EPILEPSY WARNING!!!)
edit x2: Will PROBABLY rework this move to be a fusion of Nitrogen and the third/fourth element. this is not guaranteed though
Before making Carbon as the third element (It’s chosen by the most people, R.I.P Argon and Oxygen
) i’ve built a first chemical reaction move which is made with Hydrogen and Nitrogen. AND guess what chemical reaction it is! Before spoilering it i suggest you think about it a little : D
It is Ammoniak! (NH3) Those who guessed it right gets a cookie
Ammoniak has some refrigerating properties which is the main inspiration for this one. Oh and also i played modded Mindustry a little bit too much, I know this probably makes zero sense so yes you can kick me
Either way the move is half-done, i’ll be polishing it while making other skills. Next on the road is carbon and hell yeah this is gonna be fun.
