Being magicless is a choice on Magius, those kids need to pull themselves up by their magic circles!
I mean neviro is right there but are you are factual
Expanded to Stamina and Energy with proper server ownership, runs decently well with delayed regeneration based on last changed, the compass too functions with a spring animation.
Uses the same structure as the replied comment, it’s very modular.
Wdym spring animation
The slight bounciness, it utilizes a spring library which emulates a spring in a very performant way whilst still behaving at differing FPS.
Looks decently better than tweening and stops calculations once the needle has stopped.
The video has the compass greatly sized up to showcase the effect without video compression messing it up, therefore the bounciness may be different.
I have too used this for the doors and character looker, both of which I have not shown the result of.
Will imbuement ever be implemented in this remake? And if the strength stat is gone, how will fighting styles be handled? They were planned in WoM as future content iirc, and it’d be a shame if they were removed entirely from existence
Knowing scandin he’ll probably just not add them period
Yes.
I will likely reuse fighting style moves on magics, but we’re still far from that.
Muh thermo… ![]()
What if we somehow implemented a system that let magics imitate fighting styles? Like a modifier you can train yourself to adapt your abilities to or something
For example you could augment your fire magic to have a heat meter or you could consume seawater bottles to amplify water magic attacks, shadow magic can conceal you and do critical hits, and so on so forth
Sorry but scandin doesn’t really care for strength (mostly because it means for balancing for him)
Unsure, that’s in the territory of implementing entirely new play styles.
Yeah… The less to balance the better…
Fair, though I think it’s always nice to have options
These “modifiers” can be applied to any magic and are taught at dojos by instructors who will teach you their specific style for crowns
I do want in the far future to have things that fundamentally change magics.
Just not into full blown bootleg fighting style.
I mean… people will eventually get bored of the same playstyle (i.e zoner with minor cqc options)
Another thing: will imbuement come back? And do you plan to add more weapon types with more skills?
Yeah, I am aware of that…
But I do not want to focus upon it to any degree of importance, I haven’t even implemented magics.
If you need a lore explanation for the fighting style knockoff thing we could always say its just changing the way you manipulate your magic energy or something generic like that
Imbuement… Maybe for weapons, surely for far future magics of being able to imbue into each other, e.g. Fire imbued… Sand.
The cost would be to not be able to independently use the imbued magic, rather exclusively there combined magic.
