I have some questions regarding how weapons and fighting styles are going to be handled in this remake considering weapons were very bare bones and we didn’t really get to see how fighting styles would have worked
What’s sad is that both of those magics WOULD fit AO’s theme
Weapons will likely remain, just in their precursor state as in current WoM. Arcanium might exist, undecided.
Screw strength, I’ve seen how much of a pain it is to balance and work with in AO, this is World of Magic.
Maybe some strength skills could be recycled into magic? It’d be effectively combining the two together to allow for the rushdown playstyle to persist
Also I assume spirit content just doesn’t exist at all (or if it does will it be more summoner based?)
Screw strength, but not screw strength repurposed moves.
Spirit may be cool and all, but this is a WoM remake, I’d rather not include an entirely new “magic” system where it never existed, maybe once I get this to a point where it’s comparable to actual WoM I’ll do something, but right now it just seems too much and unnecessary.
Yeah I’ll take to being stuck with 1 skill per weapon over becoming a twink
It’ll be a cold day in hell when I use magic
Honestly? Smart choice. Spirit doesn’t even really fit AO in its current state and all of its skills don’t feel very unique
Yummy crash yummy jab…
Ok quick question running will not eat stamina right?
I hate that functionality so much, so no. That means jumping and high jumping will continue to eat stamina.
oh good that was really one of worst parts of wom also this is early for asking but will you make magic council spawns ,power closer to original or a lowered version?
Hm…
Seeing as Captains and Majors were a bit strong[1] to put it lightly, I will likely think about what level they could be, of course still high level, just not… major’s thousands.
ok thanks for answer
Any possible level cap?
Unsure, possibly progressive, e.g. 100 for one town, when the next one comes out it’s raised, I don’t really know right now, as I still need to create the systems.
I’m not going to mess with the legacies lore-piece.
fair, especially since the player most likely wouldn’t be one anyway (random spawns an stuff)
