I may write about the aftermath of Olympus war in my reimagination of the lore, but in my version, he ends up absolutely furious at Prometheus due to everything he did.
While Arthur’s army approaches the citadel of Olympus, Prometheus regrets everything and sacrifices the last of his sanity and some of essence of Hecate who had been killed during the war to create the Absorption curse.
He then gives it to Hades and tells him the curse will have the ability to absorb magic from mortals and even destroy mortal curses. Hades takes it with him into the Underworld, and remains in hiding, and alone in his grief, guilt, anger and sorrow, until he re-emerges centuries later and comes across Durza.
Beyond being a real rabbi who wasn’t the son of God, bro just got retconned?
Interestingly enough Abrahamic religion predates much of what would’ve been contemporary Greek tradition. So I wonder if that was deleted as well lol.
It’d be cool to get a game or a bit of lore which explores the alternate history that Prometheus giving humans magic would’ve caused. I’d love to see the wars of the Diadochi but AO pre fracture.

Okay so someone was asking about if there’d be any like automaton type enemies in the game this was vetex’s reponse
So automatons created by the gods were a thing, but not anymore since the gods aren’t around to maintain existing ones or make any new ones. Any that could be long lasting likely got obliterated in the fracture or lost in the dark sea where the conditions there would destroy them over the course of 1000 years.

Not what I was asking for, but still interesting regardless. When I tried to make it clear that I was asking when someone would begin to start recovering their magic energy and not how long it would take to get it all back he didn’t respond. Maybe he caught on that I was trying to gauge Allanon’s survival chances.

Does this imply that energy reserves regen at the same exact speed for all mages?
They’re like steampunk/clockworky type robots. But like powered by spirit or magic I suppose in this case. I believe Hephaestus did stuff like that in actual greek myth, but don’t quote me on that.
Maybe? It’s also possibly that even if the recovery speed is higher for people with higher capacity it isn’t proportional to that of average mages.

honestly, it’d be really cool if there was an oracle that builds automatons and makes them come ‘alive’ with spirit energy
From what I know it’s only really simple stuff that’s more just novelty things rather than actual like robots. But if you’re saying they’ve always had the idea than yeah automatons have been an idea for a long time.
Putting their energy into an object to bring it to “life” seems really similar to putting spirit energy into an object to make it into a spirit weapon which is something oracles can’t do. Thus I doubt that would be something within an oracle’s capabilities.
What about like syncing their mind,movements with golem/automatons something like this possible or they cannot do that?
