Im sorry, but there is a stupidly massive difference in strength between an ape and a human. They can rip a mans arm off without trying, cling to treebranches without worrying of falling for a very long time, and have a grip strength that is far stronger than nearly every other mammal.
are you trolling or do you seriously not know that 1. not only are there multiple species of apes, and since you didn’t specify great apes that includes gibbons (lesser apes), most of which are pretty small
2. humans ARE apes

Some are conceptually basically fusions, but in lore they’re not and in gameplay they won’t be. You’ll just mutate a magic into one that shares traits (like lightning into ancient lightning/flash/poison lightning/storm/probably some others I forgot).

some are pretty much fusions, but others just enhance a certain aspect of the magic (like fire → flare, it enhances its DoT, light → aether enhances its size mostly)
