You know how there’s this one move that allows people using strength to lunge forward and punch you? Well, what if mages could also do that, but in a different way.
Obtainment:
Must be magic level 175 to use this scroll on your first magic, and whatever scaling system for the second and third.
This can be found rarely in sealed chests, or similarly to how other rare spells are obtained.
Description:
Cast magic circles behind and beneath you, and imbue your fist with magic, then propel yourself forward at a high speed to deliver a magic punch to your target.
Usage:
Upon holding the key, a magic circle will appear behind you and beneath you, and you start “levitating” (The reason why I put levitation here is because if you do this standing on the ground, there could be a chance you hit the ground immediately, therefore wasting the move. The magic circle you’re on is levitating.) Your character will then face your cursor, and when the key is let go (Or after 4 seconds,) you will be launched in the direction your character is facing but cannot alter your direction once you let go of the key (or being launched automatically after 4 seconds.)

Reason to Add
Since other strength and weapons builds can lunge forward and strike you, why can’t mages do the same? Additionally, this could allow you to close the distance between you and your opponent, allowing you to get close range to M1 or snare. Snare has also been pretty underused simply because it’s not very consistent in general, making it also less preferable over spells like blast and pulsar spamming. This can allow people to make a close-range combo that actually takes some skill, while at the same time not being absolutely unfair to the person they’re fighting.
As for the suggestion itself, this seems kind of unnecessary? Mage functions best when distanced from their opponent with any close-range moves (snare, self-explosion and surge) being mainly used as ‘get off me’ tools. Conjurer and warlock already come pre-built with close-range skillsets, and paladin doesn’t really seem to encourage a close-up playstyle just like mage
It’s a good point, however I like to occasionally go in on the opponent to m1, and this is one way to do that. Also, this can allow mages to better catch runners. I seen way too many of those, and spent a full half hour chasing someone across the entire bronze sea just for them to combat log. Though, I do understand why you say this.
(Also, honestly, how were they able to stay alive with me chipping them with pulsar and surge, plus sniping them with blast?)
Since a full mage build wouldn’t have strength, I let them imbue their fist with magic to compensate. Basically, their magic makes up for their lack of strength.
