Magic weapons in the next update

Now that magic weapons are planned to be added in the next update, will they be too overpowered? Obviously they’d use up alot of magic energy and stamina but what do you guys think? Right now, I think that melee and weapons are balanced, and that other players rely on them too much. Hoping that magic weapons would be balanced and not render magic spells completely useless. Also, I hope that clashing with magic weapons and their skills would happen, that’d be cool to see.

Honestly? I have no clue. There’s a bunch of hope here because of how good Vetex is as a dev, but he needs to maintain a very delicate balance. Luckily, even after publishing the magic weapons to the game, he can still adjust like he did with regular melee weapons.

I don’t believe so since they would either just be catalysts for using magic to enhance their power or would require mana to use, unlike say a shortsword or dagger they would have to eventually charge up their mana to attack again leaving them open, if they’re using a magic based attack they are standing still while attacking making them easy targets/

I mean if you look at the features card on the trello from what it seems the magic weapons will be used to cast your magic while also being able to click for melee damage and such. The stats of the spells will also be affected according to the trello.

just interested to see what sort of enchantments it will have and how it will affect the stats of spells

That would add a lot of diversity to weaponry instead of the basic physical weapons. Would love to see such an addition
