Btw do you mind if I try to refine one of your tracks? I haven’t practiced myself in a while and maybe it would be interesting

Can you tell me what software you use? I think number 19 is a good improvement but all of them end up being off beat here and there. Does your software have guides or a metronome?
day 21 (was messing around with automation)
im using reaper atm although im very new to it so dont really know what im doing
hmm don’t worry too much if it’s confusing or if it’s taking too long to get used too, had the same issue on Fl and it honestly took me a month to get used to basics.
I don’t know reaper too much but can you check out if you can enable a metronome on it? it sounds kind of like this and helps align sounds
And for example this is a music I made just recently with a metronome on by the side
(if it doesn’t play then try using chrome, i couldn’t directly upload the file)
reaper does have a metronome, im just too lazy to use it
Give it a try when you feel like it, It should help you allign notes properly quickly
(Normally I don’t use metronomes either, It’s mostly for learners I think. You’ll not need it as much once you get used to beats and timings)
quick question: what exactly is mixing?
ive been lurking some music forums and keep seeing people talk about it and how important it is.
Mixing is essentially like just altering the sound, like adding a echo effect, maybe making the sound pitch change or adding a reverb.
For the most part you can just slap a reverb on your instrument and call it a day on the beginning levels
Now looking at this topic again, those are really amazing
Can’t wait to see what will you cook later ![]()
BRUH i genuinely had to spend so long trying to get this to sound half decent which is why im so behind
day 23:
Not sure if i got the chords right but i tried to make my own version, If your struggling to make the chords and the keys above match then the easy tip is to make sure your keys use the exact same note the top most chord notes
for example if your chord is like C A and F then try using C on the melody (top notes) which will make them match together.
Just make sure your going a pitch higher for the melody
for example if the chord is C5 A4 and F4 then try using C6 as the starting of the melody and keep other follow up notes in that range.
hey guys, sorry ive been gone this week,
ive been really demotivated lately cause i keep worrying that i haven’t improved at all from the beginning of this month so i gave up for a while
but im back now with some new tracks
No 24:
No. 25(first track was made in 15 mins, the second one is fully finished)
No. 26(i decided to try sampling one of my earlier tracks, guess which one it is)
Hey! It’s good to see a fellow reaper user - keep chipping away at it bro! ![]()
