Minor Shiftlock Change That Would Greatly Improve Ithttps://forum.arcaneodyssey.dev/uploads/default/original/4X/5/3/a/53a657fd7dd584deb4c898bcde636fa648e1d618.png
I’m sure some of you use shiftlock at a very close camera angle and I know the struggle of not being able to see most of the left side of your screen, pretty much this suggestion would remove that problem.
This would also allow you to aim with obstructing your vision on all angles since theoretically you can still aim down if someone goes directly below you since you don’t really need to aim at that point and just move your camera view straight down.
Suggested Change
Changed the camera lock when using shiftlock from right side of the player model to above the player model.
This means that instead of what we have now (left picture), it will become much better considering you have a better view of your surroundings (right picture) as indicated by the cursor placement.
Also, I feel that if this happens, the game would need to make your character partially-transparent to increase visibility. Or, honestly, it should just do that anyways in shiftlock.
Partially transparent works but I feel like that would introduce bugs to be honest, I mean look at anything that modifies the player model .
Pretty much I had something similar to your reply at first, but I had to think of something that for sure wouldn’t introduce bugs since this uses a roblox setting change in studio rather than coding.
I mean yeah it isn’t hard and other games can do it fine, but it’s arcane odyssey you know. Simple and easy changes in coding can for some reason create bugs…
Examples would be simple stuff such as underwater screen effect, dark sea downed state, particles and so on. These are really easy and simple stuff yet for some reason there’s a bug of it in the game. I just can’t trust this game too much in terms of coding, so instead I just opted for a way where all they do is change a setting in roblox’s studio.
