Loving the contrast between two answers here lol
I had imagined them about the size of 4x4 minecraft blocks.
pardon?
Warriors are just conjurers that vomited out their magic.
Trigno may have got his Magma Curse irresponsible but he eventually overcome it by staying in Solitude
I’m sorry what does that have to do with spirit weapons
Nothing, why?

This is a big personal gripe I have with the story. I know this is the War Seas and it technically makes sense cause there’s a bunch of curses that never showed up in AA, but wow there’s SO MANY people with curses in AO already that it doesn’t feel special at all. Let me make a list of all the curse users that showed up in AA and even those that were planned to but never did:
- Trigno, Rupin, Arsen, Ramses, Durza, Arthur, Freedrock, Averill, Randal, Valencia, Landon
(Yes Durza and Arthur had a ton of curses but they were literal endgame top-of-the-verse characters)
Now here’s the curse users we know of in AO by the second sea:
- Julian, Morden, Randal, Wotan, Baldur, Jarson, Tiwaz, Donar, Warren, Nilah, Akeem, Nero, Caesar
We’re at the midpoint of the second sea in AO and we already know of more curse users than we did throughout the entirety of AA. And that’s not even counting the dead curse users like Zaix, Avery, Kessler, or Beringer. Sure there might’ve been more factions in AA that would’ve had curse users, but same goes for AO: the Thorne Empire, the Azura Province, the Ryujin Dynasty, Skyhall, the Assassin’s Syndicate, the Grand Navy, the Corsair Country, or even the Order could all have them too.
I know we won’t fight them all or even meet them, but jeez talk about curse overload
The magic equivalent of the Growth Curse is probably just Plant Magic since Warren said it lets him turn into and control plants/trees. One of the Growth Curse’s secondary abilities is to let Randal see through nature, which is why he knows so much. The name is just different because of what vetex said above.
adchueronza
name rolls off the tongue
chances are they weren’t originally called “sea” curses, but rather it stuck on over time
I blame Randal.
yeah
i assume since most of the world was sea, most of them landed on the sea and hovered over it due to being rejected (as was the case with the death curse) hence the name ‘sea curse’
I had assumed the Death Curse got lodged into the side of Pelion Rift, since they go very fast, and it’s a big target.
this implies that it was rather on the ocean instead of stuck in the pelion rift, since the rift would have shallower water near it canonically
besides we also have this
It’s been a long time since I read Morden’s Journal, I won’t lie. I forgot the whole thing.
If Sea Curses create a fitting aura around them, then it must’ve looked like an absolute madhouse where they were made.
Imagining Rupin just being on fire at all times though.
tbf Prometheus had just gotten his ass beat, they shot out when he formed them
