My opinion of lifesteal in FR

Okay, so my file with 562 regen, remember that?

It used to regen like 13 hp more per tick (or something like that), not too shabby

Regen rework and full release came around, and holy shit it’s overpowered
My lvl 141 ass heals 96 health off of a spirit blast

It’s pretty much stronger now (if you keep attacking and consistently land hits), it forces you to play (semi) aggressively to get it’s ‘full’ benefits instead of zoning the entire time

Yeah. I have a mage build with 33% regen and 40% resistance and a surge, and I can just stare at enemies that overlevel me, surge at them and tank the attacks. Actual boss behavior LMAO (I love it).

I do like the lifesteal aspect tho, really encourages playing more aggressively.

although fun to play as, I truly fear playing against a healing thermo fist jug… My build is not up to Full Release standards and yet I am practically impervious to any and all phenomena as long as there is something living around me, which combined with thermofist’s pressure seems like a scary combo to me

me after transfering omen stuff to a level 150 file (beat someone elses level 260 rival without much struggle while other parts of my kit are unenchanted junk items for now)

also i’m adding bonus regeneration onto them (already is a paladin to get some base healing on the imbued magic attacks)

Lifesteal should’ve stayed exclusive to specific skills or powers instead of being a substat. I think it’s way too difficult to balance without making it shit.

Okay hot take, but intensity should as well

Anything thats semi-useless when at its base, but gets ridiculously overpowered when stacked (to the point of needing a parabol curve to balance it out) should be a jewel substat

This includes energy efficiency, blocking power and regen
Probably also resistance

I’m running Knight with specifically in Weapons… the dual pistols are so good, I get around about 90~ health per bullet, and rapid fire counts EVERY bullet for regeneration, so that’s about 400-500 if my dumbass can count.

Plus… why is it called regeneration when it’s lifesteal?

I really hope they don’t nerf it because it’s really fun in PvE.
