LKs arent relly niche tho…And its not hard to get once you set to get it.
Like…You can get rare+ chart from high level bounty npcs, so in Nimbus. After solving it, you have a high chance of getting either lost of mythical one.
Then you just follow by the clues, and get LK, which, if you dont want the one you got, you can sell for like 500k galls
Sure, they tank your cooldown, but they give stat boost and additional mechanics top…
If you do charts enough, and you like doing them (like me), you can genuenly put LKs on pmuch everything since some LKs are just buffs.
I apologize, I meant to say; They are turning into niches with how the balance team are treating them.
It has to be considered; most people don’t invest enough time to level up any profession to the max, so that’s already a barrier enough, then comes RNG, you can get virtually[1] any other treasure chart significantly easier, some people[2] just never get a Lost chart.
They are relatively difficult to get based on those conditions, and hence should be rewarded as such, instead they are granted a small stat boost with said tanking of cooldown and energy usage.
Things become niches in AO when they prove a sizeable benefit in PvP, and hence needs to be nerfed one way or another to the point it’s not worth it to utilize in both PvP and PvE.
Its the problem with current philosophy of AO, where you are punished for not focusing on a single slot.
Why would you play alt file without professions or fleets, when you could have earned milions passively via fleets?
Agreed, playing another file is far too punishing, the only thing you in reality keep are a few titles, bank Drachma and items… and that’s it, you don’t keep professions, you don’t keep anything, you have to do it all over again, which many won’t do as it often takes over 200 hours to level up them all.
The only reason I play in other slots is to farm limited… but after farming gunpowder and reaching the maximum level, I don’t play anymore. When lost magics become available, I think people will start using them more. I’m only playing with new slots to level-up them. I don’t really like using them, for numerous reasons that you’ve already mentioned.
By the way, how much XP would killing a dragon give?
Can someone more advanced in code than I am explain how these bugs keep happening? How is there always a new inverse stat issue, even when it has been fixed in the past?
If the tier is dependant on the weapons multipliers and not the users magic stat, does that mean it scales both first and second magics as the same tier?
I mean, people care about the dragon drops too to be fair. People are just upset about the immersion feature nobody asked for that adds nothing to the game.
