Rework the Wind-Row section of the story to have the Player go to the Dark Sea at least once
Layer 1 should not deal dmg to ships, as its supposed to be an introduction to it
Add a permanent island in the Dark Sea next to wind-row where the story will take place
You also find supplies in Wind-Row story wise that automatically repair your ship
This could be excused as:
A: the group needs to hide from Ravenna, and the Dark Sea is much better in that regard than Wind-Row
B: “player, you must go to a place of intense magic energy in order to awaken faster” - warren.
Reason:
I introduced like 10 friends to AO, no one ever goes to the Dark Sea or thinks to leave the map for any reason. AO has so many side features that casuals dont even know about.
unfortunately vetex has decided that the story will never go to the dark sea
trees are already there
yeah except for the fact that every mention of the dark sea always says its the last place youd want to go, also morden is a curse user at this point in the story so he would most probably die (which for some people would be reason enough to vote for this)
i dont think he ever says this, he just tells us to go meditate
this can be solved in different ways than altering the story, also theres already a lot of ways to know about dark sea
ingame dialogue
ingame messages (“Player was lost in dark sea.”)
exploration
badges
journal
also, having the first layer not deal damage to ships is not only making a story chapter non-canon but its also going to give players a false sense of security next time they go to the dark sea
