when I criticize vetex, I’m not hoping for him to suddenly change the development timeline he has for his game, because I know he won’t. I just do it to point out the absurdity of how he’s approaching a game of this size with no help at all.

vetex about to pull up with an essay that, summarized, is:

free money lol, explain how a feature that isn’t even implimented yet is lackluster

no? I (talking in vetex perspective) made arcane odyssey take place in a sea because that solves the walking simulator issue and allows me to have more things happen, just because it has a similar magic system isn’t nostalgia. and why are you still in this forum lol?

i honestly agree vetex should ask for help, given he’s doing such an ambitious project like this, even if it’s roblox.

the game is set to release for December, likely with paid access. He has only recently started on something as massive as fighting styles, and he has yet to complete all the weapon skills, the fact that he focussed all of his attention and time on other minuscule features, instead of actually starting to develop fighting styles, will almost guarantee that fighting styles will not be developed fully.

Making the islands separate instead of right next to each other doesn’t solve the huge traveling issue in the game.

Instead of finding an actual solution for the horrible world-building and optimization in WoM, vetex decided to quit the entire project altogether to make AO which, at its core, is the same AA.

Instead of pursuing an idea that is built off the idea of AA, he decides to go back and simply remaster AA

this is a fair argument, and I really don’t have an excuse for it (this will likely be the evidence used for my ban)

well in order to get back on topic here is my idea.

THE WANDERING COVE: OBYS

“dead men tell that deep in the dark seas there exists a sister island of mimhere, one on the back of an ancient crab that tread those cursed water due to equally old curse in equally old waters, and if one were to tame that beast… the whole world would be deres for the taking, as that beast could level whole seas with a swing of itz claw, meaning the thing who cursed it must think of cursebeard as a petulant gupling.”

location:
unlike most of these mobs that can spawn multiple times there is only one wanderer, the wanderer (of course) wanders 500,000m to 550,000 m deep in the dark seas, the way to know you are near is seeing an incoming cloud of white fog, the fog permeates in a 10m area around obys and a sign of him coming, if you are within 15m of him and being attacked a deep growl is heard and all the monster no matter their caliber turn x degrees away from the fog and guns it, once in the fog it is… unusually calm, no wind, no waves just you in the fog, if you venture deeper you will hear creepy whispers and once you are in the center you will come across obys himself.

now vetex said that the largest island will be 4x the size of the largest island of aa alalean, yeah obys meets that size… in his torso, obys is shaped like the picture up above (that is from the game reus btw) however on his back will be the wandering cove (it will be 2x the size of alalean) the cove itself is vaguely crown shape withe the center piece being a tall tower and a small shanty town made from wrecked ships. (More on this later) but you may ask how you get up there, well it’s mainly by climbing, one way is to wing it and climb up obys’s legs then his torso, but he will be constantly moving, the other easier way is to attack him. once you do a total of 10,000 damage to him he will stop rise up and roars clearing the fog and cause extreme water turbulence and create a storm overhead raining down lightning at random. from here you need to deal a total of 250,000 damage to him all the while he sends out slow, long lasting aoe attacks. once that damage thresh hold is reached obys then yawns the sits down to take a power nap and he can no longer be damaged, from here it’s a much easier climb to the top, from here you will try to move to the center of the cove while fending off crab monsters and deranged cultists until you reach the top and take out the leader, but before I go to the rewards, let’s talk about those attacks.
ATTACKS:

Leg drop: obys raises one of him legs and sends in falling down causing a massive Tital wave that goes out for a few meters, and while he can constantly do this only one leg at a time for each side, and they have a wait time of about 30 seconds.

right claw snap:
obys opens his right claw and a magic circle forms from inside it (the circle has a trident symbol in the middle) once it forms (in around a minute 30) he snaps down on it and causes the sea in a 1,000 meter range to start acting wildly, skyscraper sized waves, island sized whirlpools, giant jets of water shooting up from the sea (think of the knock upstream from one piece) and to top it all off the sea is extremely choppy making it difficult to traverse without being tossed around like Jenga on a trampoline.

the left claw opens and castes a spell however this claw creates 5 magic circles the center one being a magic circle with a storm cloud and the other 4 being randomly picked starter magics ( magma, light, shadow, etc.) once they form (same amount of casting time as the right) he then slams his claw shut and creates a giant storm cloud creating tornados from those 4 random magics and likewise creating pockets of elemental rain (lazor rain anybody).

double claw snap:
not much to say both claw attacks at the same time but it takes double the time (3 min).

Lazer eyes:
if you ever had the misfortune of being in front of obys he might start up his Lazer eyes (the target areas being marked by two small island sized circles) and after 2 minutes he fires them and basically insta kills anything less than legendary ships and boiling the general area in the process.

the final slam:
once 250,000 damage is done to obys he then crashes down causing a island sized tidal wave that goes out for 12m as a final f u.

REWARDS:
at the cove itself you can get all kinds of stuff, from basic things like money, trash items and basic crafting and cooking items on th island and trash mobs to exotic weapons, armors, and crafting materials from the islands and bosses, a good example of this is the obys burger and as the description says, “anything can be good between bread, including ancient crab meat.” once eaten you gain max hunger and the buff of water breathing, Infinet energy and 200% buff to all water based attacks all with a 3 hour countdown. and while obys himself dosn’t drop anything, once you defeat the cult leader if you are part of a clan you can claim the wandering cove as your own, “but wait!” you may ask “how can you get back to obys, he is a wandering island?” well soon after you get rid of the cultists on obys you get a conch shell in the mail along with a moist aged letter, most people who read it will see it’s just gibberish but if a max player see it reads.

“Ah, dear traveler, I would like to thank you for your help, those cultists moved onto my back and lived in my crown committing heinous act in the name of the one deepest of all. thinking I was a scion of his, for I have no clue who that is. so, to return to my back I have provided a shell curtesy of my only follower Telemac, use it well, (if you attacked him) and do not worry little one, though you put up a good fight I have you never even dented by shell. so do return some time to the loyal hound of Poseidon”

this is a bit too “unkillable monster” type beat

well, the point isn’t to kill obys it’s more “weaken him enough so he gets tired so you can climb on him.” he is inspired by Zunisha if you don’t know.

sorry to disappoint but most of this is just two people fighting on what may or may not be added.

Rusty Shark

Tier: Abyssal

Spawns: 1/14 chance of spawning in replacement of a shark in the first sea or dark sea.

Drops: Rusty shark fin (Junk item), 20-80 rusty cans (junk items)

Appearance: Looks like a great white shark but covered in rusty texture.

Attacks: Bite, inflicts 70 damage and 10 bleed per second. The bleed ends after 5 seconds. If it bites a person bleeding its damage is doubled.

Additional info: The rusty shark has around the same health as a poison-jaws but takes 3/4 damage from all attacks because of its rusty plating.

why is it abyssal
