Hello there, scoured through the entire forum and couldn’t find anyone else asking this question, so I decided to be the one to do so.
My character has the Merciful trait, which I’ve been led to believe is supposed to make my spirit color golden yellow.
Recently, I acquired an interchange potion and decided to go 50/50 vit/wep fot a knight build. But I’m noticing a few things: 1) When I’m charging my energy, the aura is blue/red instead of Golden. 2) Imbuing weapons with Divine Energy or Eagle Patrimony causes them to glow strictly blue instead. 3) When joining the server, my weapons have Divine Energy imbuement by default regardless of what it was last time I was in the game, and Eagle Patrimony’s imbuement is None.
So, I suppose what I’m asking is: How much of the Vitality content is currently implemented into the game?
Ok so to get the golden color you have to be a paladin(magic/vitality hybrid) or else it is blue
If you’re merciless it’s be purple and red if a paladin.
Tldr golden/red color is only reserved for paladins (and savants next update)
All other classes get blue or purple
There is next to no vitality content right now, aside from the functionality of spirit imbues and the spirit blast skill. All of it will be covered in Full release, but as of now, its probably not a good idea to go for using the stat; especially Knight which loses 1 valuable weapon slot just for the electricity (from patrimony) imbue + bonus HP and size. As for Paladin and Juggernaut, they’re hit a lot less than Knight, but you’ll still be running 1 main style with no side tools aside from an Imbuement and bonus HP. If you wish to use Vitality in the future, I’d recomend only getting 112 right now, as there is no benefit in getting more Vitality until its skills are released.
as for your questions (please use indentation next time):
q1-2) for weapon builds, charge color is based on the weapon you are holding, otherwise it’ll use your magic color; but only Mag/Vit builds can use Gold/Red spirit energy. Because you are not Paladin (mag/vit), you get blue spirit for merciful, and purple for ruthless. This is reflected in your imbues. PS. Savant doesn’t get the Gold/Red color set until full release, this is because its unlocked when you gain spirit imbues, and Savant will have its awakening reworked to such upon full release.
q3) I’m pretty sure the game only registers the first imbuement used by any class, but Paladin, Juggernaut, and Knight are currently the only classes with more than 1 imbuement. In otherwords, the game auto sets imbuement to the first option aside from ‘none’, which is reset upon death or rejoining. I assume this will be fixed on Full release as well, given that Vitality will be completed during the update, and with Savant gaining access to more than 1 imbue.
savant also gets the red/gold colours, though, astonishingly enough, no one’s willing to use patrimony without imbuement, go figure
Yeah i did mention that
they already do though don’t they ?
Nope not until full release
mb then
That is false, you only get the new colors after you unlock imbuements. Savant doesn’t have Imbuements yet, and remains blue until full release updates Savant.
I misread the wiki, you could also take less time to answer and actually read the part where I admitted I was wrong
This only applies to Paladins (Vitality/Magic) for right now, with the lore explanation being that your spirit energy is reacting to your magic energy in a way only people with the player’s “trait” have. It’ll also apply to Savants on Full Release, since they can use Vitality and Magic if they want, and their Awakening is changing to imbuements.
Same thing; Knights (and Juggernauts) only have the default Blue/Purple Spirit Energy colors.
Your Weapons always starting with the basic Spirit Energy imbuement if you swap to another type is definitely a bug, unless if you’re turning off the Imbuements completely, which forces them back on when respawning. Your Eagle Patrimony cannot be imbued as a Knight.
HAHAHAHA, nothing other than the E.P., Spirit Blast, Ekrix, and spirit colors. To be fair, on Early Access release there was actually nothing for Vitality.
Currently, Full Release is slated to have five Spirit Weapons (E.P. and five others found on minibosses or through exploration) that have all of their Rites fully implemented.
Also, I wouldn’t go for Vitality if you only care about getting extra health, since the stat is being changed to Spirit on Full Release, which will act like the other build stats.
actually, because Spirit weapons use the generic weapon code, Knight (and other weapon classes i think) can actually imbue the Eagle patrimony.
On my Knight file, i can imbue the patrimony… too itself. This does nothing though.
Huh, thought that was a bug only on Warlord.
Warlord can imbue the spirit weapon with Fighting Style but it does nothing.
