Questions About Insanity Infused Dagger

  • Someone I know said that you can’t make it/it’s unobtainable, which I don’t really understand since the Dark Sea Diamond exists?
  • They also said that it’s apparently abuse to use it in PvP due to most people having tier 2 of Insanity in their builds, I don’t really get how it is abuse though?
  • They kept calling it “dicease” which I was confused by since it’s called infused daggers, is this a common nickname for infused daggers or no?

Not all Reagents are compatible with all Catalysts; for example, Orbshots are only compatible with Reagents whose effects can be applied to ships, such as Skyfire Blooms (Scorched) or Magmatic Stones (Melting); you can’t make them with Stormsalt (Tide) or Dark Sea Diamonds (Insanity). I’d assume this applies to Dark Sea Diamonds and Taint Urchin Spines.

Assuming Dark Sea Diamonds are usable for Infused Daggers, that’s probably just people trying to discourage you from using it for whatever reason. If I remember right, Blood Disease-infused attacks only inflict Tier 1 of their respective status, so it wouldn’t even do anything meaningful.

Yeah; Infused Daggers, Blood Diseases, and Diseases are the same thing.

Ooh I see, okii the incompatible thing makes more sense, though the note that has infused dagger info mentions any 10 perfect reagents, so I thought that the diamonds would work too

Ngl I kinda wanna try making an insanity infused dagger to check if they are compatible

“Healing blood disease”

At this point you pretty much gonna play as pure doctor

you can combo it with a darkness purging move to get a bit of extra damage

Is that intentional? If it is, that might explain why some folks call it abuse; gotta keep people from figuring that out for as long as they can.

Anything is abuse, if it’s an intended mechanic of the game.

insane tech ig, wonder if its worth it with the hp lost or not though
