Random thought I had and I want to hear your thoughts on it

Isn’t it just a tad bit weird that a level 4 castaway can hold a giant 11,000 pound fish (basking sharks, great squids, great whites, etc etc) with literally no effort

and yet, a warrior can’t even swing a 12-15 pound halberd around despite having so much weapon mastery?

AND SAID WARRIOR can ALSO carry an 11,000 pound fish?

Now I get that perhaps it’s hard to use a strength halberd for warriors because it might have a lot of inertia when you swing it, but even a WARLORD needs the right stats to be able to swing a halberd strong enough to make a whirlwind.

but said warlords also can carry an 11,000 pound megafish lmao

actually even builds that make zero sense can achieve this feat like mages

AO character logic is funny tbh, unless I’m missing something, please enlighten me if I’m wrong.

Its a game lit bro

yea yea whatever it’s a game but it’s still funny to think about

Like what if this is just normal in the actual universe?

Reminder: we have theoretically infinite storage, and yet for some reason, people put items into chests in this world.

Arcane odyssey ladies and gentlemen.

also, where do chests even come from? why are they so randomly dispersed everywhere?

and why is there even a set rarity system for chests? does this imply every single person in this universe HAS to follow rules for what goes in what kinds of chests?

you need the experience in fighting styles to use the halberd and its techniques effectively. or something. idk man…

I’d assume that’s probably the best answer

it’s most likely a technique thing

but then again, it’s wild how even a mage can swing a halberd around.

its a game… if EVERYTHING was realistic, we would only be able to carry like 5 items in our inventory before getting slowed down. Some liberties need to be taken in terms of realism to make the game enjoyable

Right but

funny.

I genuinely want to believe that these things are actually normal in this universe.

they’re just built different

that feeling when you’re a starving stranded test subject and you can just go and instantly fish up a kraken from the depths

while at the same time, being unable to even hold a lance that’s apparently even lighter than a halberd :sob:

Not even.
When you find a guy stranded in the middle of the ocean starving sitting on a couple wooden crates tied together, and when you get them back to civilization they hand you a whole great white made of solid gold.

THEN you cook it and eat the whole thing in ONE meal.

I just realized how a golden great white shark would be the equivalent to having 88 gold bars.

a golden basking shark…

Step 1: Grind Argos
Step 2: Get some drops
Step 3: Spine breaks

Let’s not forget how you can literally jump off of the stepstones, plummet hundreds of feet, and land perfectly intact.

I’m starting to see why Argos couldn’t exactly hurt us that much with his weapon attacks (like 40-60 damage range) even though he was so old.

Step 1: Go fishing
Step 2: Hook a Colossal squid
Step 3: Get pulled into the water and die

Step 1: PvP at munera with friends
Step 2: Your opponent is a magma/acid/explosion/musket user
Step 3: Ow.

Man himself really did come down here to call us idiots for posing an admittedly very stupid question.

This is the same game where at level 1 you can run infinitely but can swim about the same distance as a child
